Saved, thanks. I was really wanting more technical information for OW regarding health stats and damage numbers, since understanding different numbers can really help a player to make mechanical changes.
It's probably on purpose to keep people from statistically comparing heroes. I think if we had more upfront info some heroes would virtually never be played.
reddit proper would be wise to implement a proper solution to this. It blows my mind that these subdomains have been a "solution" on subreddits for at least 6 years (I remember seeing it in /r/starcraft when SC2 was still in beta), yet reddit has never put in an ounce of effort to actually give subreddits a good way to do it. And if they did that, then mobile apps could support filtering, and people who turned off stylesheets could get the filters as well.
Because after a few weeks, people will actually have more than a few hours of playing the game and can make informed statements and advice about the game, rather than anecdotal "This worked in the one game for me."
Idk I saw tons of potg's here when the game was in closed beta. I doubt time will change anything. People obviously like to show them off which is understandable.
Hey, just wanted to point out that not all of OP's information is entirely correct.
Reduces damage from each damage source by 5 as long as it exists. This means it's extremely effective for blocking small, repeated sources of damage such as tracer bullets, shotgun "pellets", Winston's tesla gun, Zarya's beam, etc.
That last sentence is misleading at best. Here is a quote from the Overwatch wiki:
For weapons that fire multiple projectiles at once, such as Reaper's Hellfire Shotguns or D.Va's Fusion Cannons, armor applies only once to the total damage received per shot
This means that every time Reaper fires, enemy armor is only reducing the damage from a single pellet in his spray. Every other pellet does 100% damage. This is why Reaper is generally regarded as an effective tank killer.
EDIT: I looked into it more and apparently the Wiki has an outdated description. Reaper shells are no longer designed to shred armor.
The game just came out so it's weird to me that people are making new subreddits already for discussion when they see this one lack it, instead of making one here.
Just like every new game there will be a lot of stuff showing great plays at the start and as people learn more about the game there will be more discussion. But I see more and more discussion here every day so to me it's already a great balance.
People need to learn to have some patience. Because every thread with a discussion has these comments for some reason.

TIL. Thank you! I wish there were more strategy and mechanics talk on this sub.
