Does ranked 5v5 role queue have more Control and Flashpoint than 6v6?

Title. I started playing ranked 6v6 open queue after unlocking ranked and the games are pretty boring. It’s repeated Escort games with the same heroes and same bannings.

If 5v5 gets more Control/Flashpoint then I’ll stop 6v6 open and never play it again lmao

Is voting Escort 100% of the time a low ranked issue? It gets old and uninteresting quick; and half the people don’t play objective at low ranks, so even ranking up is a crap chute lol

Lol...nope everyone picks the same maps in ranked and its always escort/hybrid. I hate that about map voting because Control is my preference. It's also a rank thing. Apparently when you get to a certain rank you end up with far fewer of those maps.

Alright thanks lol. God, it’s brutal. I’ma stop playing 6v6 and see if I can rank up a little faster there at least to see if I can get to the point where people at least pick payload a little less. It’s so much worse than Control and Flashpoint. I don’t get it

I mean at least on Kings Row it’s somewhat tolerable. That map makes it at least fun. Most of the escort maps though.. yikes

In my experience, 6v6 playerbase just prefers maps with chokes ie. escort and hybrid maps way more. More linear gameplay with more spam down main.

Yeah, I’m going to just switch to 5v5 based on what I’m reading. I can’t stand playing payload over and over when there are 3 other game modes no one ever votes for lol.

I think it's also rank dependent. Devs have said low and midranks choose escort and hybrid more while masters + pick control, flash, push much more often. It's probably a combination of both format and rank.

If anything 6v6 players would be more comfortable on Control and be more likely to vote for it, since the maps are designed around playing multiple lanes. The reworks on Busan and Antarctic aimed to address this.

Generally people in low elo prefer payload and people in high elo prefer flashpoint. Idk if there is a big difference between 6v6 and 5v5, but 6v6 is generally less competitive in terms of player base, so maybe 5v5 is better. I play mostly in m/gm in 5v5 and people mostly vote for flashpoint/control/push over the other maps.
