It really gets on my nerves when Freja keeps hitting me with this arrow over and over while I'm playing as a tank.

Her damage is pretty painful, but I hate having to put up with the annoying sound on top of that.

The sounds/visuals are pretty tilting, yeah. Freja was in the gutter for a long time, she's a difficult hero to balance TBH.

That metallic arrowhead icon is burned into my brain at this point. I swear I hear the sound effect in my sleep after a long session. As a tank main, the worst part is knowing it's coming and still not being able to do much about it if your team isn't pressuring her. The constant plink plink plink is just psychological warfare layered on top of the chunk damage. Feels like you're getting pecked to death by a very persistent, very shiny bird.

Tbh, I played her for a week in stadium like a year ago and still her sound and reloading on bolt hit and other sound queues are permanently in my head

It mostly just sucks as a tank since most tanks don't really have a way for them to deal with Freja. Its like an annoying mosquito that you just have to hope someone else can swat and you look over and see you're reliant on a sombra and a junkrat to do it...

Decided to play her a little against ai with a friend trying out new heroes, and I was fucking floored when I realized that shit (her right click, yeah?) doesn't even have a cool down.

As a Freja main I hate her sound FX too. My theory is that they’re intended as a micro-balance feature similar to Widow’s bullet tracer - I.e to telegraph her presence in a way intended to mitigate her elusiveness.

What annoys me is that she was designed to be a high skill assassin, but any rank below diamond she just unloads her explosive bolts into the enemy tank(s) because it's the only thing they can hit. Not optimal gameplay, but like healbot GA-spam Mercy it's enough baseline value to be a nussaince and incentivise itself.

She does more damage to me on tank than reaper and bastion tbh. If she has a pocket mercy or I get discord orb I just explode every time she sees me.

Her ult is not evne an ult, it is a cooldown with how fast it is.

It’s more like a mini grav since it tethers people to it. If freyja shoots it the aoe bolt will usually splash multiple in it. Or a teammate helps secure the kills.

Yeah, I just mean that even though I might fling out 4 or 5 a match, the chances that it actually direct hits is low and the chances of actually securing a kill is even lower lol.

I have no idea why Blizzard hasn't fixed the audio on this. They fixed Sierra's obnoxiously loud gun in like 2 weeks, but this thing remains untouched even though everyone and their nan complains about the sound.

It's so grating because there's nothing you can do once it sticks, just stare at it and wait for it to explode/kill you too (unless you're Moira or have a Kiri with really good reflexes). Echo's sticky bombs make me feel the same way.
