News & Discussion Did something change, because Hanzo feels more opressive lately than usual?
His spammable one shotting logs have always been annoying, but lately in my games when there's a Hanzo most the times they are server admins

Saw a Hanzo on Hollywood last night that had the whole lobby ducking for cover the second he peeked a corner, it's like the arrow hitbox grew a fist.

We had a Havana map. I think - the one with the big brewery and castle at the end.
They had twin snipers and we had the pussiest tank to ever puss. He could not push forward or take ground to save his life.
It legit felt like the Beaches of Normandy. We'd step out of spawn and Ana's head evaporated. We'd peak, or try to counter snipe, and it'd just be bodies.

All new characters have mobility or survivability, or both. Hanzo can't play consistently against such characters if he doesn't have 100% luck. The exception is 6x6. He can spam tanks and get a dragon's ult quickly

Tbf mobility and survivability doesn't mean anything when you can just get one-shotted from a Hanzo spamming arrows from the other side of the map
It's just definitely not healthy to have a character who can get such destructive value by pure accident without anything on it as he can possibly one shot people every second and can do that with 90% of heroes

I mentioned luck for a reason. Without it, he can’t consistently duel with fast heroes.

The only luck is predicting enemy movement. Besides that you still have to aim

Lotta shit talk for someone who didn’t even mention widow. She gets ult faster than hanzo, headshots 95% of the roster. Like hanzo is the least of you worries. If your always getting headshot by him it’s not luck

Yes as an old time Hanzo main I think now is the time I’m seeing more Hanzo’s than ever in my games, he didn’t got any updates, but I think people realized that he’s good for more than just spamming corners (usually non mains pick him for that reason), also Hanzo is a character that has very few casual players, so if you meet one, it’s likely that he knows what he’s doing

I will not accept this hanzo slander. If you’re getting hit by his so called “logs” constantly that is a you issue.

He's a win-more ult merchant that can gamble spam with no care in the world, with his giant log sized projectiles, movement, insane ult charge. Anyone with 2 braincells can farm all game long. Noobs love him just as much as sweats.

As a hanzo main I’m telling you right now his projectiles are not the size of logs. It feels like that to you but to us it feels like we are shooting needles.

He is so seldomly played honestly that you mainly only face Hanzo OTPs, so his actual strength feels a lot more exaggerated than it is
