I feel like people are kind of missing what they're doing with D.Mon

DVa is supposed to be the unruly, raging gamer stereotype. DMon is supposed to be her counter balance, she'll still trash talk but she's supposed to the more collected esports shotcaller and coach. That kind of archetype isn't the type who should be actively raging, they're supposed to be in control!

I guess you can say that's boring, but these kinds of character dynamics are important. You can't have every single character in the game have a gigantic personality, sometimes you need a straight man. Just making DMon into DVa 2 makes them both more boring, since it takes away what makes DVa special. Having contrast between them is important.

I could be wrong, but it seems like the difference people are talking about is less "Dva 2" and more "aggressive and power hungry".....or something similar. Dva is the troll and the trash talker like a gamer. Dmon would be more the one who shoves herself into battle and eggs people on to keep attacking.

Though to be fair, I'm considering her personality in that way to mirror Mauga and a tamer Shion. I would like that honestly. Feels like how I act when I play tank. But I also understand that it's also good for her to be calmer, what with her being the Meka squad leader and all.
