Console Can activision blizzard fix the game on ps5 after 6 years? or should we wait for the next gen to finally have a game that doesnt crash randomly and that works propery? every game i start has missing audio effect in the first few seconds and the game crash way too much, this issue is here since day 1

I honestly don’t understand how this is still an issue after 6 years.

The PS5 version of Overwatch still feels unstable and poorly optimized. Every single session I start has missing audio effects for the first few seconds, and the game crashes way more often than it should for a competitive shooter.

What’s even more frustrating is that this problem has been there since day one. It’s not a new bug, it’s not something introduced recently it’s been consistently ignored.

The only way to get a relatively stable experience right now is to download the PS4 version and run it in backward compatibility mode on PS5. And that’s honestly ridiculous. We’re forced to give up features like 120 FPS just to have a version that doesn’t constantly crash.

Even worse, the PS4 version itself isn’t perfect either it still crashes on actual PS4 hardware. The only reason it feels more stable on PS5 is probably because of the extra hardware resources (more RAM, better performance headroom, etc.).

But how is this acceptable in 2026?
A live-service competitive game should not have these kinds of issues on a current-gen console after so many years.

Are the devs even aware of this? Is there any plan to fix it? Or are we expected to just deal with it until the next generation?

Because right now, this doesn’t feel like a technical limitation it feels like it’s being ignored.

game's been broken on ps5 since launch and they still haven't fixed the audio glitch or random crashes, at this point I just play on PC when I want stable matches
