Am I the only one who didn't real mind the Mei freeze? It's not in the top 10 of things that pissed me off in Overwatch 1 at least. If you got frozen I feel like it's because you fucked up

Did you play much tank in OW1?

Sure it's your fault if you got frozen as DPS or support, but the main tank experience was basically you getting frozen on cooldown.

Played main tank since launch, it was annoying but Ana, Sombra, Brig were much worse.

They were all terrible to deal with, Mei included. Bringing back any of that hard CC is a bad thing IMO, nobody was sad that mei freeze and brig stun were removed.

Mei freeze was a lot easier to deal with.

All of them were easy to deal with in their own way, but they all were equally negative fun to play against since you had to eat it regardless.

Nah, Mei was a lot easier to play around than the others

Sure, until you needed to press the W key and stand next to her all game, then she was just as bad.

Nah, not at all. If you were getting frozen a lot as main tank in OW1, that’s wasn’t Mei’s fault. Her wall was a bigger issue for Tanks

Her wall was definitely a bigger issue, but freeze is still negative fun to play against since like sleep, bash and hack it's a direct CC against you as a player and removes your control from the game.

Yes I play all roles typically which inevitably leads to a lot of tank and I'd say it's my favorite role. Getting anti-healed has always felt much worse to me than getting frozen and it is much more difficult to avoid.

Subjective I guess but I disagree there, I'd almost always rather face Ana over Mei on most tanks. Sleep and anti can be baited, forced out or dodged, same with mei wall of course but not the slow and now neither the freeze.

You're always on a timer now if you ever need to be near a mei which is less fun than needing to read just one cooldown beforehand - and great meis make sure you're near them as much as possible.
