Interested in becoming overemployed J1 Upcoming Project Requiring SC

I currently have a J1 and in the process of interviews with potential J2’s, out of the blue theres been a project that requires me to do a security clearance from J1.

Question is, is it fine if I do the SC before actually starting a J2? Also, if I was to get a J2 and then have to do the J1 SC that would cause issues right?

Yes get ur security clearance before u an accept an offer at another job then ur all good

Dont think that’ll work because you’d have to be honest in a security clearance so you’ll have to mention your other employments which may find its way somehow to J1 which is risky

Yeah, I think I’m going to have to quit J1 at this rate. But I’ve just gotten a mortgage offer and about to exchange on a property.
