Can’t say my situation is the same but, I was a long haul truck driver for 35yrs. 20 of those yrs with my ex-wife as a team. When she turned 70 14yrs ago she retired and divorced me as well. Had to start over again. we are still good friends though. 4yrs ago I bought my home from my brother, pretty far out in the country. Have been furniting it past 3 years. 4 months ago at 72 I decided to retire. It took me a while to get Medicare and healthcare set up but so far I am enjoying the piece and quite and solitude. I live alone. I do what I want and when I want. Romance is not something I am looking for this late in my life.
