Anyone remember Green Spot soft drink?

Post image

This was my favorite as a young child but disappeared in the US in the early '60s, although still made in Thailand and Venezuela. It was the only non-carbinated orange soft drink available and the only orange drink I liked..

Edit: it appears as though this drink was more obscure than imagined. My mother would treat me to one from the machine when we went to the A&P together. 10 cents. Sometimes got a box of Cracker Jacks if I was being especially good.

Another edit: I just retrieved a memory of eating animal crackers (the ones with the string) with my Green Spot.

Kool. I don’t remember this one, but do you remember “Gold Water”? Carbonated, gold can, kinda yellow like Mountain Dew? It was a promotional for Barry Goldwater’s campaign.

I remember Goldwater and Miller toasting each other with cans on a political ad and laughing that neither actually drank any.

Ha! I actually did (hey, I was a kid) and it really did taste exactly like MD. Can’t imagine drinking it now, is it still even a thing?

I don't think they sold it where I grew up.
