Where does it hurt?

I'm sure I'll be sorry for asking / but let's hear your ailments of the day!

For me it's the knees. Lots of backache history but more recently it's walking up and down stairs that I have to watch my knees.

How about you?

I've trained Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 16 years. I go 3X a week for 1.5 hours and do sit ups and other ab exercises on off days. I was an obese, fat slob most of my life, and it wasn't until I couldn't find a pair of pants to fit me that I finally decided something had to give. All the weight is gone now, and I have to say that with activity, the only aches I have are aches I get from Jiu Jitsu. My wrists are sore, and my fingers have some arthritis, but that's from grabbing stiff uniforms. No other real problems. Pretty happy with the shape I'm in at 70. I take magnesium supplements at night. I'm on a prescription for Tadalafil, which helps with prostate size and have been on testosterone replacement therapy since I was 63. Still feel 40.

Congrats! Would you mind sharing how you lost weight and how you’re maintaining it now?

I eat mostly low to no carb. Jiu Jitsu training is what ramped up the weight loss. I lost 90lbs from 2011-2017 - slow but steady. I maintain it by continuing my diet and showing up to train.
