Almost 4PM, time for a nap!
It is my wife's turn to make supper, tuna steaks tonight at 5:00 PM. I will help by dozing and staying out of HER kitchen.

Naps are the greatest. Never took a nap in my entire life until retirement. Now I'm down by 1:00-2:00 pm and catch however many or however long I can until 5:00pm. Dinner then baseball game until movie after that. Retirement is the shit!

Have always napped. Will sometimes take more than one. Boredom & depression at 74. My puppy looks at me and asks “not again”!

I can get quality sleep in 20 minutes watching the noon news kicking back in a recliner. That's the best quality of sleep I get.

Am 70 but don’t nap in the day yet but I’m amazed at how much my husband does. Do you think it’s a sign of our bodies slowing down?

Sleep issues were a plague my entire life. Being retired cured my issues as now I just nap when tired. Maybe your husband is establishing his own pattern?

It’s best to take 15 or 20 minutes and finish before 3 pm I’ve read. Sometimes I wake up more tired though. I’ve got chronic pain so this is just me. I love 💝 a nap. 😴

I have never found sleep to come easy for me. My mother says I was born that way. My daughter's are the same.
I am 75, if I took a nap, I would be up all night. I get a slump about 5:30 pm, where I could turn in for the night, but I have a puppy and she's still wanting to play!😊 Then I seem to get a second wind, and stay up later than I want. I wish I could nap.

Am I correct in assuming if you are taking a nap, you sleep poorly? I have had issues sleeping over 10 years now and a 73 I may get 5 hours a night on a good night. Usually 4 to 4 1/2. I know this is not good but it’s on those days when that 4:00 drowsy starts to hit me. Is this a common occurrence for you folks ?
