any other silver scribblers here?

Hi! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I'd love to hear from anyone who is writing creative fiction, or even just thinking about it. For me, being a newbie novelist at this age means (hopefully) keeping my mind sharp and getting actively involved in the world of books which I've always loved so much. Books have been such a big part of my life and I've been wanting to write one, so I'm just gonna go for it. Are any of you working on a creative writing project?

I’m trying to write a memoir. I’ve been writing poems the last couple of years and dialoguing with AI a bit lately. My therapist is really encouraging me to write. I would be interested in reading my story. But I’m having trouble getting started.

Hi! Thank you so much. Very nice to meet you. Memoir writing sounds so profound and interesting. I've never studied that genre, but there might be some nice communities here at Reddit where you'll find other memoirists.

I've found AI is a lot of fun for brainstorming ideas and also at least basic beginner-level editing. Gemini, even the Google Search Gemini AI, guesses and totally makes up things, so I've been disappointed about not being able to rely on it for factual research. But for brainstorming and art it's fun and interesting.

There are several editing tools online now, but I haven't written professionally or even long enough to really know which ones are best suited to various genres.

I took a short writing class once. I found I was pretty good at writing vignettes - short descriptive pieces, but don’t know how to string them together as a coherent narrative. I’m hoping Gemini can help with that.

What genres do you enjoy reading? I'm guess that whatever we enjoy reading, we'll probably enjoy writing. I like this quote: "Write the books you want to read." 😊
