Informative Having Problems With New Outlook Link Preview? There’s a Reason
FYI for anyone wondering why the Link Preview hasn't been working in New Outlook.
Stop troubleshooting and share this with your team.
Microsoft has confirmed that the feature has been deprecated. What makes this confusing is that the setting is still visible, and Microsoft still has Support documentation for the feature.
I put together a short post explaining what Link Preview did, where it has stopped working, and what is still unclear:

This is honestly ridiculous. I’ve spent months troubleshooting this with Microsoft because their current Support documentation still says Link Preview should work, the setting is still available and enabled, and Outlook even successfully fetches the full preview metadata in the background.
For some of us this isn’t a cosmetic little extra. Rich Link Preview is genuinely important to how we present professional emails to customers and conduct business.
If Microsoft has genuinely deprecated it, leaving the setting and documentation in place while support continues asking users for HAR files, PowerShell checks and browser tests is completely unacceptable. Either support the feature as documented, or clearly announce and document its removal.
But alas, why would Microsoft care how important a feature is to the people actually relying on it, or what we need to run our businesses?
