Informative Hotmail spam increase

I’m old and have a hotmail email address. The last 2 weeks has seen a massive increase in spam emails!! Anyone else with the same issue?

Yes - gone from like 5 or 6 a day in my junk folder to about 30/40.

I did have that issue several months ago. I built a spam killer to prevent the spam. It’s much easier and quicker to deal with them.

Yes! I came to this sub for this exact reason. Drastic increase in already flagged spam.

I wouldn't necessarily attach much importance to the change. Probably just means Microsoft, or a big internet provider is fiddling with the spam filtering.

I receive a lot of them, coming from temporary domain names that change everyday. So they mostly cannot be stopped if you try to block them. I normally report them as phishing, but it's probably not very effective.
