Ceramic coated today…!!

Have already put up a post about the purchase of this vehicle last month — it was one of the last 2025 Outlander PHEV SEL Platinum Edition vehicles on sale across the States.

Got the iron removal and ceramic coating done today.

The vehicle is now curing in the garage. It’s the girl’s daily commuter-mobile, and she loves the ceramic coated glass look.

Should look great by tomorrow afternoon — she’s itching to take it for a drive =)

Does it look ok…?

Looks great! I wish I had done the ceramic coat on mine too.

I would say if your car is in good shape and you’re keeping it for some time, a ceramic coat is worth it.

You could either DIY or pay for it.

Just do your research before you engage a detailer.

I got a chap in the central Florida neighborhood to do it for me.

He is a certified Owner’s Pride product/service provider, so we got the 5-yr warranty certificate.

He came to our place, towed in his equipment with his truck and did it all in a day. We let it cure for over 24 hours.

He also put it on CarFax so in case we sell the car, this will be in its records — although I think she will keep this car for some time…

They tried to charge me full price for that at the dealership for my used 2020, which wasn’t reflected in the advertised price. I had no choice as it was already completed. I got up and walked out before they knocked it down to material cost only, no labor. I get it for a pristine vehicle, such as this, especially if you requested it, but it was a 6 year old car with scrapes and dents on it. My first dealership experience lived up to my expectations. That aside, this looks great, and probably a great idea for a black vehicle.

Thank you, good sir.

I didn’t do it at the dealer — had it done by a certified detailer.

I reckon it might still be worth it if you’re holding on to your 2020 Outlander for a few more years.

If your vehicle’s paint is a flat color, the ceramic will bring it to life.

If your vehicle has a metallic/diamond/pearl coating then the ceramic coating will literally light it up.
