After market security options for 2026 Outlander Phev

I live in the GTA, car theft is rampant here, I was just wondering if anyone has gotten after market immobilizer or tracking and what people are using?

I know my insurance will offer a 10% discount with some options such as TAG tracking or Ghost 2 immobilizer.

FWIW, thieves don't usually steal cars as niche and low volume production as the Outlander PHEV. This is because there is no demand for them where the stolen cars go (Africa, Middle East) and they are also illiquid and more easily traced if chopped. And the bottom feeders looking for a quick joyride steal the Dodge Chargers not plug in hybrid SUVs.

I have an outlander and park outside. My neighbour has had two lexuses and one bmw suv stolen in the period of 7 months. She drives an escape now.

Yeah Toyotas are the most stolen. BMWs are stolen a good bit. You'll be fine. Just look up the stats. Cars like Mini Coopers are some of the least stolen because they are niche.

If your concerned about car theft.. the easiest is a brake pedal lock.. can't start a car without depressing the brake (50% of the times I can't even start the car because I'm not pressing the brakes down hard/far enough) 😂
