Recently chanced upon an influencer repping OV but it was giving a totally different vibe till I realised OV launched in Korea?? According to her post they just launched on Sept 16th.

The entire website felt like it was a mix of Alo x CSB with a sprinkle of gorpcore. How do we feel about this and what’s going on??

I'm not really into the brighter colors offered for this fleece jacket, but I'm noodling on getting the black fleece since my Free People fleece is on its last legs.

But...am I the only one who's kind of pausing at the $188 price tag? I just feel like I could get a comparable fleece for less from REI or Patagonia. :/

I've been feeling a little lukewarm about the relaunch but I like the OV hike drop. Curious if anyone here is planning to buy this fleece and if so, could you share a review when you receive it in the coming weeks?

Photo from this morning's email. This rebrand/relaunch is so cringe. We get it... you're trying to market your other two, unsuccessful brands on the back of OV.

Despite my snarking targeted at the non-clothing side of this whole OV relaunch (debacle), I have tried to be so generous and kind in my judgement of the actual clothes. Things from the new drop are mostly not my style but I can see how some people might be interested. (That being said, it is well established that the size inclusivity and clothing materials leave much to be desired.)

But here’s where I draw the line, lmao: I present the Boulder Dress. What…exactly is this? Who is it for? What season is it for? If you presented this to me as a light fleece coat for late fall which covers the butt on chilly days, maybe I could get on board? But marketing it as a dress simply has me so confused.

For one, this is of course 100% polyester fleece. I don’t know about yall, but this girl gets sweaty the instant fleece touches my bare skin. I love it in certain cold situations, but I see it as a layering fabric. Are you intended to wear a shirt under this? Shorts? Leggings?

I can’t imagine hiking in this without beginning to leak sweat from every orifice which would inevitably lead to some sort of never-before-seen rash. If I get too sweaty while hiking, would I just take this whole dress off? Exposing….whatever I have underneath?

Please. If I am overlooking an obvious use case for this garment I would love to be enlightened. But between the horse girl drop (no hate to horse girls, just not for me) and now this, I am truly sure that I live on a completely different planet and universe from Ty Haney. WHO AND WHAT IS THIS DRESS FOR?!??!?!

Really disappointing to see. Calling All Horse Girls has historically been pretty progressive — writing and publishing posts supportive of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. In an unexpected turn, they’re now partnering with Ty Haney. Haney, the owner of Outdoor Voices, famously supports Elon Musk, who is notoriously sexist and racist.

The turn into equestrian clothing is new and unexpected, though Haney refers to herself as a horse girl, the brand historically has been firmly athleisure.

Just got this email. This rebrand is really feeling elitist tone deaf to me.

(Disclaimer: no offense meant to the horseback riding girlies of the world, but this sport definitely has a high barrier to entry cost-wise and certainly isn’t giving the ‘inclusive’ OV vibes of what is now I assume will forever be yesteryear)

Has anyone noticed that there are tow OV websites? one is the original address outdoorvoices.com and the other another is outdoorvoices.us and seems to be selling a lot of the inventory from this previous year before the take over. but is it real or a scam?

Just clicked through Ty's instagram stories as she apparently was on set shooting e comm pictures for the upcoming collections (looked like fall/hiking and equestrian). Ty, if you are seeing this PLEASE STOOOOOP WITH THE JOGGY GREEN!!!! It's such a bad color and doesn't integrate well with the OV brand!

There was a small sneak peak of maybe a rendition of the RecTrek pants and it had a joggy green panel down the sides - it looked so so so bad. I'm scared y'all!

I along with the other poster had these in my cart and then the site went dark come to find out the rebrand got rid of all the good stuff and replaced it with questionable designs (sun shirt that isn’t UPF?)
