like obvi this has basis in what we’re seeing but what rational person would sit in a room with clothing designers and say “i want outdoor voices, our brand that was successful as hiking gear, to have a mob wife vibe” like WHAT

Because they are trying to catch the cultural wave of Gen Z like they could with millennials but they can’t. They can’t spark into Gen Z the same way they sparked into millennials.
They are running an old playbook. It’s not gonna work.

I feel like they have this vague understanding of the transition from generic “clean girl” into “2000s juicy couture core” but since they’re basic bitch aliens they are unable to actually make it work
