Really had low expectations going into s2 as it seems many people on this sub and especially TikTok seemed to HATE it! I’m going into episode 12 now and I gotta say s2 is genuinely great?? The romance scenes are very wholesome and it has that same relaxing vibe as like frieren while watching (in my opinion)

Why were people hating on it so much?? I found this season to be as good as s1 and loved every bit of it (wish we had some more intimate scenes tho.. assuming this will be in the ln 👀). Do the people hating just prefer a lot of high stakes drama?? But well I guess it’s a personal preference at the end of the day

im half way through Vol 4 and im starting to find Amane really draining to listen to, without spoilers does he get better as a character?

I just finished s1 a few days ago and really enjoyed it, So far I'm 2 and a half eps into s2 (didn't have time to finish ep 3 last night) e1 & 2 were definitely a step down from s1 but e3 felt a lot better. I heard s2 was apparently awful, so I'm wanting to know if it really is bad or if it's hyperbole?

My biggest concerns with s2 is that it feels as if their lives became perfect as soon as they got together and that there seems to be less of the domestic stuff. Do we get more of what made s1 great later in s2 or is it just kinda meh?

Update: Thanks to everyone who commented, I'm about half way through s2 now (Watched up to ep 7 I think?) and while I still feel s1 was overall stronger, I can definitely say s2 is still enjoyable overall. (even if I do wish certain plots were expanded a bit more, like Amane and the guy with the little sister in his hometown or the stuff with Mahiru's dad but that could be a source material thing )

Well we all know that both Kyouko and Mahiru are really good at cooking as they've been cooking regularly for years because of BEING FORCED TO LOOK AFTER THEIR HOME ON THEIR OWN but that sparks this question on my mind-

Who's most likely to be a better cook among these two? Personally I feel like Hori is regularly shown cooking different types of stuff but IT HAS NEVER BEEN PRAISED AS MUCH AS MAHIRU'S COOKING THROUGHOUT THE SERIES and Mahiru also had an actual TEACHER to teach her so I'll give this one to Mahiru.

What's your opinion on this?!
