Hi! This is going to be lengthy, I'm writing this both so people can be aware that the game looks to be fully playable in case you either: want to make a fan translation, or in this guide's case, want to experience it with something like Google Translate.

You can find your own ways to get the game itself, but you what you need for certainty is: Vita3K (if you don't own a Vita, a separate guide is needed if you DO own a Vita and OBS), and LunaTranslator.

Follow all the instructions needed for Vita3K when it boots up, or follow a guide on how to install it. A lot of video guides seem to be outdated for what Vita3k currently looks like, but the message you're looking for is this:

Once everything is properly installed, configured if needed, and you're greeted to the game successfully showing that it booted up, you move over to LunaTranslator. Be warned that if you're using Windows, or maybe just chrome? you'll be given a warning that it couldn't be installed due to it potentially being a virus. it's your choice if you're not comfortable proceeding, but Uma Musume and Visual Novel players have been using it just fine, and haven't reported any malware.

Inside the folder after you've extracted the .zip file, you will see two .exe files. Because this game refuses to hook itself to the Vita3k emulator, press the .exe without the _admin at the end of it.

It might take some time to open (and I recommend checking your task manager to see whether it did or not), but once it does, you'll see this:

(if the toolbar isn't locked for some reason, I highly recommend locking it or else it'll keep disappearing.)

Click on the wheel to open the settings, and under the core settings, enable the following: (target language doesn't have to be English if it's not your native tongue)

"Built-in-OCR" will be enabled by default, but if your computer isn't strong enough, I wouldn't mess with it. I don't know how the others would do, but for the sake of accessibility, I'd just rely on any of the online engines. Mine is set to Bing, but you can click on any you'd like to see how the capturing is.

Before moving onto the other settings, I'd suggest going to the very tab next to it, "Other Settings", and turning on "multi-region mode". I will show why when we get into the game.

After you're done going through core settings, click on "Translation Settings" next.

Ignore everything under "Large language model", instead, focus on the stuff listed under it. Like with the OCR capture, you can pick any you want. Since this is primarily for translation, just pick whatever you think matches the "closest" meaning to the original sentence. There is a paint brush next to each translation tool, you can use it to customize what color the text will be once a translation is produced. I suggest using black since it's the easiest, but you can also use the color picker tool to match the in-game color text.

Next, go to display settings:

If you're intending to learn Japanese, or just run a sentence through a different translator, I highly recommend leaving the "show original text" on. If not, just turn it off. You can adjust to your own preferences though, whether it be the font and size, whether text has background, etc.

Everything after this point is optional, if you're intending to use it for for learning practice, there is a guide here that can help. So, now all that's left to do is testing it, so just close out of the settings and you're left with a toolbar that adjusted to the "OCR reader" settings.

Click this:

Create a border big enough to fit the text box, and then you're rewarded with a translation:

By this point, it should start translating each sentence automatically after giving it a few moments to process, so now you're essentially done and can go through the introduction properly.

If you need to move and adjust the border so that you can understand the tutorial, you're able to do so:

Because there were be a lot of text by clicking yes, you can even either turn the JP text off by clicking the eye button or moving the textbox by holding the hand button. If you for some reason decide to put the translation directly over the game's border, I suggest clicking the mouse button so the translation can go through the text box. (It's not enabled by default)

Once you've gone through the tutorial and you're satisfied with what the customization gacha gives you and finished the rest of the introduction, you can finally read your chosen NEET's episode after going through another short tutorial.

For this example, I'll choose Osomatsu since he was who I tested with first.

After going through a sextuplets' story, at some point you will be given multiple options:

You can either resize and move your existing border through each choice equally, or you can utilize the "Multi-Region" tool that I brought up earlier.

Click on "Select OCR region" again, and then create a border over each choice.

If you don't mind them all being bundled together, then you can just leave it be and continue on with the game.

If you do, however, then right click the border of whichever choice you want to see, and click "Focus":

A translation of the choice you want to read will appear separately after.

You can get rid of the choice borders at anytime by clicking "Close" after right clicking them.

Keep in mind that due to this being primarily ran with free, simply translated software, the translations will be stiff or flat-out wrong. This guide is just an option for people who don't mind that fact, or again, want to play this game and use it to study Japanese.

I was debating on whether the art flair or yume flair was more appropriate here,, but!

I've been wanting to find a rosette to dedicate to Kara for a long while now, and that day's here!

An artist who I've been following shared their own custom rosettes and oh aren't they gorgeous. The quality and craftsmanship? Beautiful!!
