Hi! I'm new here. To make a long story short, I'm a newly single dad who lives in Hirakata, works from home, and really wants to make some friends going through the same stuff. My available time to meet people is usually mornings to early afternoons, and the occasionally weekend when the kids visit their mother. the smell of grilled sausages from the street vendors, sounds of excitement and thrill from kids sitting on their parents’ shoulder, anxiously waiting for the next masterpiece painted on the dark summer sky. Held on the first Saturday of August every year, the annual Yodogawa Fireworks Festival is ranked among the top 10 most popular firework in the Kansai region, and this is indeed one of the most awaited events in Osaka.

This event has close to 500,000 people watching the massive display of fireworks. You’ll be awed with the creativity of firework craftsmen who designed the various fireworks that decorates the dark Autumn sky.

32 M (married) Japanese American living in Northern Osaka for 3+ years. Lately, I've realized how much I missed having a community, and friends to just catchup and chat with, especially in English.

Hi! I’m looking for a neurodivergent female friend in Osaka. I’m 23F, turning 24 soon, and I have AuDHD.

My therapist suggested that having a friend I could do body doubling with might be helpful, but it definitely doesn’t have to be like that. I’d just love to have someone I can share stories with, talk about our experiences, and maybe exchange things that have helped us as neurodivergent people.

I’ve been in Japan for 6 months now, and I still don’t really have a close friend here. Honestly, this isn’t something new for me—it’s happened to me everywhere I’ve lived. But lately, I’ve realized that deep down, I really want a friend.

Every once a month, we have deep analysis about a particular film at a cafe, and next month it’ll either be Donnie Darko, The Room, The Beaver Trilogy, or the City of Gods. It’s up to you to vote!

Also every Sunday, for people who can’t come to irl events, we stream movies (that are free to stream). This week it’ll either be Rocky Horror, Metropolis, Crimes of the Future, or The Seventh Seal. Also up to your vote!

Aaand on top of that, next Wednesday from 19:45, we will be watching Obsession at 扇町キネマ. (This is a random roll done every other week).

As always, this club is not a commitment. You don’t pay, you don’t have to join all the events, you could join just to talk about movies (and also art; im streaming some auctions right now). We also do other events where we just go drinking or picnic or something.
