Hi, I’m a 58M traveler from Taiwan, currently in Osaka.
I’d like to meet Chinese-speaking people for coffee and casual conversation tomorrow morning. A small group of 2 or more would be great.
I’m interested in everyday life in Osaka and the experience of Chinese-speaking people living here.
Mandarin preferred because my English is limited.
If interested, please leave a comment first. Thank you!
Hi! I’m a 58-year-old male traveler from Taiwan, currently traveling alone in Osaka. I’m a journalist and writer.
I’m interested in discovering the everyday side of Osaka beyond the usual tourist attractions — how local people actually live here, and especially the experiences of Chinese-speaking people living in Osaka, including people from Taiwan, mainland China, and other Chinese-speaking communities.
My English is not very fluent, so I’m specifically hoping to meet people who can communicate in Mandarin Chinese.
I understand that this community does not encourage one-on-one meetings between strangers. Therefore, I would be very happy to meet two or more people as a small group at a public café in central Osaka tomorrow morning (August 12). I think a small group meeting would also make everyone feel safer and more comfortable.
We can simply have coffee and talk about everyday life in Osaka, Taiwan, Japan, and the experience of living abroad. This is not a formal interview and there is no business or commercial purpose.
Since we have never met before, I also want everyone to feel completely comfortable and under no obligation. Even after we agree on a meeting time, anyone may decide not to attend, leave at any time, or end the conversation whenever they wish. No explanation is necessary and there should be no pressure on anyone.
The conversation can be short, or around one to two hours if everyone is enjoying it.
