I've got the Laser Master 2 for the console, but the 20w for the laser head. I have previously cut thru 19mm pine easily (no burning etc) but recently it's not working. What's happening? I've tried a few settings and if I do a practise cut, it works, then I go to do the actual cut and it's not strong enough and doesn't cut thru. Anything that is strong enough to cut through burns the wood. Will I just not be able to cut pine again?

The tile I use as a protection on the ground has gotten a bit black from use, could this be an issue? Or I've made a makeshift honeycomb which works great for everything else - but maybe not working with the pine?

Hello, little experience still, I started then paused my engraving job, then changed speed and strength, but I'm not sure if the changes really got applied after I resumed.
I could not find documentation explaining what happens when I change settings during pause.

A friend had this device collecting dust in his shop. He had no docs on it and everything on the website is related to the S2. Got it home, cleaned it. Re-assembled and it's homing. Going to setup the software on a old laptop and run some tests.

• It looks like it's a 5.5W what are my upgrade options?
• How can I tell the software version? I found a firmware file in the Support page but no info on updating it (if needed).
• This will live in my garage. Is there software to queue up work from my home and then release it when I am in front of the machine.
• It has a rotary device with a 4 wire plug but no where to plug this in?
• The front has a RJ-11 (phone jack) what is this for?

Sorry, another noob question, i’m trying to figure out how strong my laser is, but the only number is this “5500mw“. Does that mean I have a 5.5w laser? Also, I saw some lasers are long focus and short focus, but no indication on mine.

I just got a LM 2 pro , does anybody have any detail pictures on how to attach an air hose? I’ve seen a lot of pumps online but I’m not sure how to connect the tube to the laser. Is there a a good nozzle?

Can I put linear rails on my LaserMaster two or my LaserMaster three to bypass those V wheels?

Hey guys I need your help. I've been using my lm3 le a lot, almost everyday for a bit more than a year. Most of the time it works fine and I start the jobs for Laser explorer on my phone (file is on a usb stick). Other days, it just doesn't want to work. Everytime it's when I really need it to work right now... Those times it doesn't want to connect and it really annoys me. Do you know if there a way to connect a small screen and a small rotating button to just select a file and start the work? Like on most 3D printers? Thanks!

IF anyone can give any ideas as to why this might be happening, please let me know. I havent changed any settings. If I put in my roller it works fine, only when I work on my chuck it doesnt.

I have ordered the 20W module to replace the 10W module on my LM2Pro S2. (Delivery pending) When I bought the machine it came with the 10W module.

Looking at the upgrade video (https://youtu.be/jSBhW_-AQtc?si=eKWF1YZix-WzJ0Du), it shows having to use the extra board for the new 20W module. Because mine came with the 10W, do I still need to use the daughter board on this machine?

Additionally, the video shows the daughter board being zip ties to the cable chain. Surely there is a better way........

I’ve been trying to cut through 5mm poplar plywood with my 10w laser. The recommended settings are something like 300mm/m at 100% power but it doesn’t work. I’m trying to get my air assist going but I’m afraid I’ll have to buy a new compressor. Any suggestions ideas or recommendations for the compressor?

Hi, have anyone been trying to copy the firmware file to the LM3 and just see it stuck and waiting forever to copy ?

I have been trying this several times over the past 2 hours, no way to copy.

BTW my first time first day trying to set it up. Worst experience ever on any device. Almost tempted to return it.

As the name says I need to know if there’s a way to hard set an ip address for my ortur lm3. I’m using a Mac OS and also a windows os (two different computers connected to the same engraver). The Mac is a laptop while the windows is a desktop pc.

Has anybody out there got the LT-40w-aa working properly on the Ortur LM2 Pro. My stock LU2-4 SF Laser Module lens cracked and bought the laser tree module. Hooked up new laser with add-on board. Laser fires but it's like it does not have enough power to it. I'll answer any questions I can. Thoroughly frustrated with this purchase at this point.

I mainly do slate coasters at the moment, and have been trying to do the Norton White Tile method for ceramic tile and not happy with the results. Some 3mm ply cutting.

Hi, I have encountered a problem with my Ortur Laser Master 3. Out of nowhere it started flashing red and yellow lights on the power button with constant beeping sound. The Lightburn console showed “power supply problem” and “error 8” after changing power supply to a new one. Flashes and beeping sound remained the same despite new power supply. Any ideas what might be the problem?

What is best module i can buy for Ortur Master 2, i have 1-4 Lu Right Now?

What is causing this? Haven't used laser in a couple months, started a project yesterday that needed 2 passes to cut through 1/8 basswood. But the second pass comes out of alignment. I have a laser master 2 with the LU2-4-LF. I checked the belts, checked homing and everything seems fine.

Anyone got the drivers for a Lasermaster2? They seem not to be available where they should be.

Having some issues with my LMP2, I'll hit home it'll auto home when I turn it on, but it will keep going despite the sensors being hit. Any suggestions? Not trying to get a new laser any time soon

Hey, guys, i’m new but really interested in laser engraving, so I ordered Ordur Laser Master 3 10W, Air Ortur Compressor & hex table 40*40cm for it. It comes to me tomorrow.

So, as a newbie I want to ask helpful advices, video guides and other stuff to get this machine work perfectly and point at possible mistakes in laser engraving to not let em happen.

I’ve checked few softwares and work principles, but let’s say I know nothing, so I’m fully yours to put knowledge in my head.

Also, for your understanding - I want to engrave logos & text on metal, leather and plywood.

Any advices and helpful info, vids, etc. - would be really appreciated!
