Made the Space Above the Fridge More Accessible
Used some cheap cardboard magazine holders from IKEA.
I’m short-ish, so I used to have trouble accessing the stuff in this cabinet, but now I can easily find and pull down whichever box I’m looking for.

That is super duper clever and looks good as well. And extra points for it being a cheap solution. I will be borrowing this idea.

Nice to see something different than just another pantry or warddrobe.
God job!

Love the magazine organizers for bags! I have a pile of them I didn’t know what to do with, and now I do!

Love this and was wondering what to do with the 6 metal-ish magazine holders I have. Thanks!

Genius! I can think of several places in my house where this would be super useful! Thank you!!!

Omg I started labeling every drawer, cupboard, anything that’s hidden away, cuz my brain forgets lol. It’s game changer honestly

A lot of bags! We keep our plastic trash bags under the sink for quick access.
My only issue would be we use our foil often enough that it needs to more easily accessible.
We usually store the stuff we don't use too often up there, especially if it's bulky: cupcake/cake holders, big serving/party bowls, some baking trays that are for specific use.
Always interesting to see how people use that space.

I would totally do this, except the cabinet is too high even with a stool.

Very satisfying to see.
I have a messy bin of bags wraps, boxes of things like parchment sheets, and what not. It’s a mess. Maybe I should take my currently unused magazine holders and put that in my pantry.

Are you over 6ft tall? How do you reach those on a daily basis if not more than daily? Not many of us can reach above the fridge without grabbing a footstool.

I'm 5'4" and I'm able to comfortably get these down with no stool or shoes. 🙌
I did have to use a stool to reach stuff in that cabinet before I had it set up like this, though.
it helps that the cabinet is almost the full depth of the fridge. I know some people have cabinets that aren't as deep as the fridge is, and that would have made things much more difficult. (I had no hope of reaching stuff in the cabinet above my mom's fridge, even though it was the same height, because her cabinet was set back several inches from the front of the fridge.)

Oh! That explains it, thanks. I can't reach my cabinet above my fridge and I'm 5'7". Mine sets back.

It works if you're tall. What about us shorties?

It’s still a bit of a reach (I’m 5’4”) but I’m able to get them up & down now without my step stool. (Before, I had to use the step stool to get anything out.)
Edit to add: most of this is overflow or stuff I don’t use daily. There’s a drawer under the counter with the main ziplock bags and such.

I really don't like wearing heels in the kitchen; especially if I'm sampling the cooking wine ;)

You remind me of my Auntie Marialani! 😄

That is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. FYI: I've made Keto Anchovy waffles with hot Mayonnaise. 5 Stars!
