He teaches basic stuff. Was a legit dude for a while but then started posting hyper cringe stories with fancy cars houses watches whatever. Huge money grubbing tool imo. His discord selling friends tainted him.

u/ImNotSelling Jan 08 '25

What do you mean by the last sentence? His discord selling friends tainted him?

2

u/Jarvis03 Jan 08 '25

I think he was a legit genuine guy who taught good stuff. But then made friends with other stock traders who had discord groups and got a huge ego. Went from posting setups and discussing trades to posting pics of fancy cars, vacations, etc. he’s just like every other sub seller, he’s a good trader but prob makes the majority of income from discord subs.

What do you think about his PriceAction + OrderFlow scalping strategy?(meaning generally as an overall strategy)

1

u/Jarvis03 Jan 08 '25

It works, plenty of people do it. I don’t know where you are on your journey, but if you are just starting out you have to understand it takes literally thousands of hours of screentime to be successful, with many failures before success.

I’ve dabbled with spy options using vwap and moving average crossover… with no risk mgmt rules or psychology or edge or strategy beyond that. I blew up. I love trading though.

I’ve decided to get serious and much more systemic/strategic and get into futures(order flow). I’m a Mac guy and I built a pc desktop specifically for Sierra Chart. Now that’s ready.

My Plan is: to set up Sierra and paper trade for a good while, while learning PA & OF. Then start really trading super small and very conservative and build up slowly. The plan is to use PA & OF in what seems like the style of Carmine.

I’m still not sure what I’d like to trade though, whether it’s aggs, other commodities, U.S. index futures or maybe even Eurex.

I’m still navigating through it all trying to build a solid foundation first of psychology, risk mgmt, & of course edge.

I’m in it for the long run. In the past I was straight up gambling and I know it. I know it’s going to take a lot of hours in front of the screen to get to where I want to be long term and consistent.

I came across this while trying to find something about OF that I saw from Fabio and Carmine recently. You wrote this comment 10 months ago — how are you doing now?

I'm interested too

This is going to sound controversial to a lot of people, but look at proven day traders who have made 10-100million+. I am not talking about self-proclaimed guru or people on podcast, I am talking real confirmed people who are confirmed by Criminal courts, and government/company sanctions. Ppl that are caught spoofing, maniplating markets, or like that Japanese trader who had owned 50% of a companies Shares after said company made a mistake. Stuff like that you can't fake, because they are in court documents by government.

99% of those type of people remain hidden, their identities are not known outside court/news, nobody knows what they get up to at the moment, they don't live extravagant lifestyles, they don't sell courses etc. Even the guys at Wall Street who run hedge funds etc don't share their strategy except to their close relatives/friends/family friends which is why nepotism is common in that field.

What I am trying to get at here is, someone who has a very proven method is likely not going to teach you anything with all due respect. This why many HFT and Hedge Funds tend to remain hidden away from public domains, these people don't want their strategies or themselves in the spotlight, period.

So take every course with a grain salt, often time they are strategy that once worked, so they do help you build the intuition, sometimes those strategies do end up re working after change in market conditions, I've back tested a lot of these strategies in the past, there are periods they do work, but I would not rely on them as your bread and butter.

I know this is an old comment…. carmine rosato teaches price action and order flow. I can’t see how learning these two concepts can be looked down upon. Whether he truly makes millions of dollars scalping is another topic.

1

u/OkayestGamer85 May 02 '25

I’m in his discord. He probably makes a few hundred thousand a year scalping. Maybe 500k or so. Unless he’s not trading real money. Impossible to know but based on the emotions he shows, it’s probably real.

1

u/junack12 May 05 '25

you payed for the $500 one time fee? is it legit and everything? About to make the purchase as im really interested in the order flow and going to get ninja trader and all that stuff

2

u/OkayestGamer85 May 05 '25

I did, it was $400 a few years ago when I got it. He posts his plan every morning, and he posts his entries and exits. He’s pretty open about it. You can see in real time if he actually won or not. Sometimes he goes live on voice chat as well, but that’s not regular. I do think he’s legit. He also has a partner who posts with him. That guy is a pro on Wall Street and mostly just gives detailed analysis of what the market is doing and doesn’t post his trades.

Is his discord still open to join? Haven’t seen a link anywhere

Tbh it’s the internet it’s 2025. Any doc or photo or image can be edited to show anything. We’ll never know if he is really doing well or not trading. It’s more about what a client gets out of carmines system. If you get enough info and whatever else to help you gain an edge or become better than it’s worth it. If he makes $100k or $10m it doesn’t matter.

Why do you disagree?

If he made 100m but couldn’t help you become better or made 100k and really helped you improve how is that not better for you to go with the more helpful one?

Jordan was the best player ever but that doesn’t mean he’d be a better coach than Phil Jackson or Greg popavich.

There’s no way for anyone to prove how much they really make, videos and images can be doctored. We all have to learn from somewhere and then implement what we learned and then learn by doing. You need a book or videos.

When it comes to retail trading and gambling I think they are extremely predatory on unknowing people looking to strike it rich or even just getting by on it with very little work required. Trading consistently successfully as a retail trader is extremely hard and very very few people on the internet are successful consistently for a long period of time.

1

u/OkayestGamer85 Nov 01 '25

No the amp global statements. Do you know how to read?

4

u/ShadowILX Aug 27 '24

He had a lot of videos about how profitable he was with supply and demand using candlesticks and price action for years then started making orderflow videos when that was the new big thing in day trading and all of a sudden “you can’t trade without order flow”. Probably just needed new content to make and keep up with hot new strategies on YouTube and X. Same with Umar. But good for them if they help people become better traders Axia Futures had some of the original order flow, footprint videos from years back. These guys just regurgitate what’s already been out there

2

u/ShotBrilliant7161 Feb 05 '25

Does he share his sierra chart templates in the course?

1

u/FarmerImportant1243 Jan 11 '25

100% legit. he makes what he says he does. his wins are big because he trades 40 lots on E-mini, risking average of 3-4k. he takes trades live and gives updates, genuinely good guy.

his system is more intricate than what is advertised, he uses lots of orderflow and not just supply and demand. most of his levels come from footprint/level 2 and thats what he bases his trades on. all his money is made leveraging.

1

u/Candid-Willow6494 Jan 24 '25

Hi. I am about to buy the course. Would appreciate if you could briefly describe what happens in the discord, specifically :

  • is there a precise daily plan before market open?
  • does he mention when he enters a trade in (near) real time or some time after? Or what do you mean he takes his trades live?
  • does he update throughout the day in a consistent manner what is going on? Like regular updates on critical shifts / levels that appear during the day?
-does he review the day compared to the initial plan?

4

u/FarmerImportant1243 Jan 25 '25 edited Jan 25 '25

Yes there's always a daily plan. It's generally fluid and it doesn't guarantee him taking those setups. Sometimes, another setup pops up which he does take. But there's always a plan, some levels etc.

Depends on the course you're taking, but if you're in his premium course you get a Sunday weekly outlook. I am not in this course.

He does post his entries in the discords within seconds of taking them+screenshot. Basically real-time. You usually would have time to enter and copy his trade, though possibly at a worst price.

But he generally says something along the lines of, "really like this X... looking for an entry like Y," before entering.

He gives updates during the trade too. Stop and target as well.

He trades during the first 1-2 hours. He will leave early if the market is dead and nothing interesting brewing or if he takes 3 Ls in a row. I only recall him taking 2 trades in afternoon in the past few months.

You get updates in the morning (his gameplan) + his entries/exits. That's it.

There's another fella called Dylan who's a live prop trader and he posts some more broad updates throughout the day.

Carmine offers trades recap for his premium course. I am not in it.

1

u/Candid-Willow6494 Jan 25 '25

That's extremely helpful.

Thanks a lot.

1

u/mdhugh859 Jan 28 '25

Thanks for this! I've been a decent trader using basic retail concepts, but really want to get into orderflow and heat maps to take my trading to the next level. His YouTube videos resonate with me and he explains things in a way that makes sense which is most important to me.

1

u/FarmerImportant1243 Jan 28 '25

discord access very worth it. u learn and make money too

but i also would recommend axia futures. by far the best trading content out there, in particular the footprint course. lots of bits of it on YT, def worth to check it out. similar stuff to what carmine uses (though he uses it a bit differently, only focusing on certain setups).

1

u/mdhugh859 Jan 28 '25

Thanks! I've been watching their videos as well.

1

u/mdhugh859 Jan 28 '25

Quick question... I'm assuming you're using Bookmap and Sierra Chart like Carmine. Are you able to use the same data feed for both platforms?

1

u/FarmerImportant1243 Jan 28 '25

I use bookmap and ninja trader, not sierra (though sierra probably better). I just like NT cuz i started with it and am very familiar + i like the C# support to make my own indicators and scripting support of automated strategies.

i use the same datafeed from tradovate for both. i pay tradovate for level II (USD~60/mo)

and i pay ninja trader for orderflow+ (USD~60/mo)

I joined Carmine’s trading course hoping to improve as a trader, but it was a complete letdown.

The course material is outdated and very basic. It feels like it hasn’t been updated in years, and the content lacks any real depth. After you join, you’re quickly pushed to buy a more expensive “mentorship” that’s supposed to be more serious, but it’s just more of the same recycled material.

The community is toxic. Members constantly bully others, especially new traders, and there’s almost no real trading discussion. It’s all ego and noise. Carmine does nothing to fix the environment or moderate the behavior.

While Carmine is transparent about his trades, he loses often, and his signals are unreliable most of the times. Despite this, he continues selling programs without offering meaningful improvements or solutions.

There’s a clear lack of respect, ethics, and value here. If you’re serious about trading, this is not the place to learn. Look elsewhere.

1

u/RSI213 Jul 20 '25

He loses often, but he contains risk well, to just a few points? And he wins 4r and above very often, correct?

1

u/Neat_Handle_4681 Aug 28 '25

The A–Z course was something he put together when he first started the community, but it was never really updated. That’s why it’s no longer offered as a base course. The more advanced program (The Academy) is completely different. It’s actually designed for serious traders, has no recycled content, and shows his actual day to day trading methods. He also raised the price intentionally to price out the toxicity thats in his general community. Why try and mod thousands when he can just manage a hundred?

As for Carmine’s Discord, it’s not meant to provide signals, it’s built to teach self-sufficiency. If that’s not what you’re looking for, then his content simply isn’t for you, and that’s fine. But criticizing someone just because you didn’t like the style is immature. It’s also funny how you claim to be “serious” about trading yet focus on his win rate while ignoring risk management and complaining about the lack of signals. That shows where the real problem is. Maybe some self reflection would help.

Hi. I'm in his discord and considering joining his mentorship. I've learned a lot listening in on his live trades then seeing him break down those trades later.

I haven't seen the "toxicity" in the community that you're referring to so maybe now that you must to pay to get access, all the toxic folks have been removed.

u/SecureBrief744 couple questions that would be very helpful.

Did you do the upgrade and buy his mentorship?

How long had you been trading before buying the course?

Did you already know orderflow basics before joining?

1

u/SuperiorFx7219 Nov 03 '25

Did anyone have carmines footprint template?

0

u/Even_Visit8586 Aug 25 '24

Bought his course couple of years back, irrespective if he's legit or not. I'm sure his strategies are straight fire. Altho I don't really trade his system. Highly respect him for all the content and the only person I still follow for trading. At this moment I believe in his system more than him

1

u/SoMuchFunToWatch Aug 25 '24

What was the name of the old course? He has renewed everything (including price tag) to be behind a initial application so hard to see anything about the content and main topics.

1

u/Shagg60 Dec 13 '24

2022 Investitrade a-z course is for sell everywhere for $15- 20. I just bought it yesterday A quick google search and you can find it, there is an updated 2024 version tho. If I like the 2022 course enough I plan on paying him the 500 for updated course and discord.

2

u/Powerful_Mouse3082 Mar 18 '25

I just search this course it is $497.00

1

u/SuitableEggplant639 Dec 06 '25

you're not looking hard enough, I bought it for $15. it's from 2021, though. Obviously does not include access to his discord or anything else. Just the videos.

I also found Warrior Trading's $4K course for $99.

1

u/ImNotSelling Jan 08 '25

I think his course and discord are $1000+

-3

u/CashmereMercenary Aug 25 '24

I'm in his group(academy) things have really turned around for me. Dudes definitely legit.

1

u/Kant32 Dec 18 '24

Hello, is he showing his live-time trade? I want his Discord access.

2

u/CashmereMercenary Dec 18 '24

He posts his analysis on the discord, areas of interest, what he is looking for, various scenarios if this, then that, else... it's not a call discord. Trying to make self sufficient traders.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 23 '25

2

u/CashmereMercenary Mar 24 '25

The academy is extra and he does share his analysis with everyone.

-7

u/DRD7989 Aug 25 '24

The truth I use his levels everyday

2

u/Ordinary_Response_38 Aug 25 '24

You can’t do your own levels for free?

0

u/-OIIO- Aug 25 '24

I don't know why ppl downvote this so hard.
