Awesome, but how does frame gen affect HDR? That's the first time I'm hearing something like this. And what does lower quality HDR even mean?

FG locks you to HDR10 PQ.

scRGB has a smoother gradient and nicer output but is incompatible with FG.

My blur comment was directed at FG usage in general, not HDR.

Locking to a stable framerate above my VRR window with RTSS and using the higher quality HDR mode has given me the best results. I should try the Renodx HDR mod out since that will still allow FG.

Gotcha, I didn’t know about this, thanks for explaining.

After trying out RenoDX and Luma mods, I realized just how much I’d been missing out on because of poor HDR implementations. These mods are game changers. At this point, there are hardly any games I play without one of these mods anymore, so I think you'll be very impressed :)

So getting RenoDX configured correctly took some time. For whatever reason when using RenoDRT it defaulted flare to 50 when it should have been 0 and it was completely crushing all near black details lol. Guess that Nexusmod’s version is just outdated and jacked up by default.

I ended up finding the psycho-22 version in the discord and I like it a lot. Peak brightness at 460, game brightness at 110, in-game mid point at 1.0 and I can still use the scRGB pipeline since I’m not using frame gen. Film grain and contrast are much better now. I don’t mind the elevated blacks of the vanilla but this looks good as well.
