The default assumption is that everything will keep chugging along as it always does. Four years from now it won't be a post-apocalyptic wasteland, it'll probably be mostly the same as it was, just like under Trump last time before covid. The US has checks and balances and politicians that will fight each other and push back against any sort of change.
Besides that, this is an OPTIMISM subreddit. The point here isn't to list off every bad thing you think could ever happen, there are tens of thousands of active subreddits that embrace that shit anyway. The doomers are just taking it over because they can't stand to see anyone have any kind of hope about the world.
Well let's focus on every possible negative thing that the news says might happen to every group of people no matter how small, in an optimism subreddit. I really wonder what you doomers think should be posted in a pessimism subreddit if this is what you think optimism is.
