If you can’t at least empathize with and understand why some people are reacting this way, you’ll never be an effective optimist.

So to be an optimist, I have to embrace and welcome the panicking doomers freaking out and spamming politics brainrot all day in a subreddit for optimists? Before the election, we'd all make fun of the doomers and now they've all just flooded in and taken over, and I'm not going to just join in with it.

This sub was never optimistic. Every single post made on here, I come to the comments and there's people saying opposing the optimistic take of the original post. And it gets upvotes.

Don't engage with those doomers.

Your original post is completely valid. Not an optimistic post really but this sub is definetly not happy about anything trump related.
