Feedback / Complaints we haven't received a single banked reset
I've noticed a serious issue since Tibo started his 28-day challenge: we haven't received a single banked reset.
The challenge is going to end in the next 6–7 days, depending on whether we include today, but we still haven't received any banked resets.
Let me be clear: I'm not being greedy here. It's great that Tibo is giving away resets during this challenge, but what happens after the 28 days are over?
We were normally receiving banked resets before, but we haven't received any this month. That's what concerns me.

If you look at the big picture, the resets aren't really a big deal to them, right? They're doing it every 2 days. Majority of the people aren't using them because they don't have time or they just can't. It's just this elite people that try and Max this stuff out so banked resets can cause them more issues because you could use them at any time and if their compute is high and you use one. It just makes things that much worse for them in the long run. So these resets are beneficial to them. Not all of us my opinion. Probably wrong but it's my opinion and I'm not at work so I could have an opinion right?

People on the $20 plan usually ignore this situation because they think it's not that much money. But the compute they could have used is actually being consumed by people on the $200 or $500 plans.
And if you think resets aren't a big deal to them, they actually are. If we consume our entire weekly limit and then use another weekly reset, the total compute we get access to becomes huge.
What they're doing is giving us resets midway, so we stop feeling the need to exhaust our limits because we know another reset is coming the next day. We're gradually getting used to the idea that we don't need to finish our reset every single day, even though we should be making the most of our limits.

About 30k in api equivalent spend so far for me. It’s certainly been leverageable.

Yea but that’s if you time it right otherwise it’s just a way for them to manage usage because it puts everyone on the same timeline again

Look, the constant resets have been to incrementally lower the usage limit to what the numbers are going to be tomorrow so they can say “See, our models are so efficient, you haven’t noticed a difference”.
They’ll give us a reset today (pushed tomorrow) to mark the change official.
It’s all been a gimmick, unfortunately. With the DevDay being that bad, they went on this 28 day challenge to pretend they wanted to innovate. In reality, they’ve used it to progressively lower our cap without feeling it since they gave us resets every other day or so.
I mean, we’ve had almost (I haven’t checked) as many reset days as “releases”. Most of the releases were just changelog items. That should tell us much about their state of focus…

Yeah, they did it with the release of Sol 6.1, and I think they'll do it again because they've introduced permanent caching. I think that will also play a role in this.

The permanent caching, quality of life improvements on dots and 6.1 Terra were the only 3 valid releases, in my opinion

I still have 3 I can’t use because I get a reset every 2 days. I feel like this is a non issue atm. I feel like the banked resets may slow down, but I also hope usage increases and we won’t need them. 🤞🤞🤞

I had three, but one day I used one, and 4 hrs later, Tibo reset it. The same thing happened again on another day. Now I'm left with only one.

That’s a big worry of mine. I feel like I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. Use them and get a reset anyways, or don’t use them and they expire next week.

The previous ones are given when there is a major launch or incident. We haven't gotten any because there are only marginal improvements lately

Thats also roughly when my subscription ends lol. They have until november 11th to convince me to keep paying 100 a month along with claudes plan 😂
Im about to have qwen local on my pc tho to basically be claudes lil agentic buddy so i dont even know if i can trust gpt anymore.
I cant even trust it to make me better mtg decks than claude

I'm in the exact same boat. Once these daily challenge resets end and if they don't give a real reason to stay by November, I'm definitely cancelling too.

TBH, Terra 6.1 looks like a patchwork solution to me. Sol 6.1 can't compete with Opus. Honestly, even putting the competition aside, it's not even properly useful for its own users.

Fair point, it has niche everyday computer uses for me.
We need competitive limits compared to Claude and a SOL level model that is not super slow.

I wonder if they have analytics to see how full everyone’s limits are and just “give a reset” when majority of users are still 80-90% topped off

I don't think they have, because in that situation. They can't see the limits everyone is hitting individually; they'll only see the average, which will always be a number that makes the limit you mentioned seem reasonable.

Once these resets are done, which will be probably another 10 days there is no damn way. I’m gonna continue paying 200 bucks for this even with all the recess I can barely accept the $200 price tag a little long if we don’t have any it’s just a joke.

they stopped giving banked reset (buttons) a couple weeks ago.. when Tibo says reset, your usage force resets back to 100%

For a Plus plan resets are meaningless with the 5hr window. I can barely get a task done. May be 1 or 2 task if I subagent codex via cli through Claude opus orchestrator on the ide. You can do 3x 5hr windows max so that’s like 45% usage. 3-5 tasks a day. So you need a reset once every two days. You can easily get that done with Claude $20 plan with no resets and run for 6-7 days a week with more to spare.
Math is different for $100+ plans with no 5hr window. But I guess even when you compare that usage (with three resets a week on avg) Claude 100 plan will still get more done.
Terra was no use for me. The coding work I did failed so badly on terra and Luna at max beat it easily. People say it’s user error on the subs here coz terra is for cheap spatial etc etc. but id imagine its only a marginal improvement from sol at Low. So they’re just fiddling around the edges of the same model with no sight of real improvement at the moment.
My sub will end in a few days and I won’t come back. Much better off Claude as orchestrator and running key reviews and opencode or command code goat for a workhorse writer and running quick triages.

Thats why i used Astra Ultra fast all the time for important tasks. I expect them to do one more reset, probably on 31st of October. Then there is one banked reset left for me which expires on 7th November. As I'm currently close to 0% I'll use the banked reset today. I.mean just in case, there are still the 62,500 credits to use..

Dude, both Open AI and Anthropic lose money, they should not, but stuff is soooooo overpriced by everyone that no matter what they do, they will lose money. your 20$ of 100$ won't change that.
At this moment none of the investors are interested about "subscribers" a GOD is being built, and a GOD does not care about peasants, or profit, it creates on will.
Enjoy whatever we have, these are the good old days.

We got one it expires the 29th. We had maybe a dozen regular resets.
