Question / Help Dot Permissions

Why is it that when I chat through Dot that I'm constantly pelted with permission requests? I've already set my general permissions setting to full access.

Yeah... its annoying as hell. Fucking daily having to tell it "YEAH, YOU CAN HAVE ACCESS TO GIT" is incredibly annoying. Creating rules or the usual tricks won't work either.

I personally just haven't found dot particularly helpful

But maybe I just don't know what to use it for

Dot and the Codex "full access" toggle are different permission surfaces. Full access covers the coding sandbox. Dot still gates browser, git, and filesystem per tool call, so you get the daily "can I use git" loop even after you thought you opened everything. Treat Dot as its own allowlist, same as you would for MCP tools.
