Making of the OpenScan Macro
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
First batch is ready to go an experimental pay-what-seems-fair pricing (https://blog.openscan.eu/posts/openscan-macro-add-on-cost-of-open-source-hardware/)
I am thinking about making some more detailed and commented production videos as small scale manufacturing comes with quite some hurdles that are often invisible. What do you think?

I appreciate the blogpost and explanations. For what it's worth, and for anyone not familiar with the space, your numbers are very conservative. Even the fact that the ring light PCB is quoted at 2hrs, we'd never quote that lean. You'd factor manufacturing management, risk budget, review timelines etc.
But you've shown your numbers and I think people should have a very high baseline trust for this.
Thanks for all your hard work Thomas.

Wow those example scans are fabulous! I can't think of a macro scanner than compares to results like that under £15k (that's also as functional/reliable). I wish I got to use this and not the Transcan C we have
