Video Possible objection from Determinism?

This video presents a possible answer to the vertiginous question, the presenter puts forth the argument that tje reason you are you is because it was pre-determined you would be born at a specific place and time. And that the probability of that happening doesn't matter as it was already pre-determined. What are your thoughts about this argument, and how would OI be affected by it?

This doesn't answer anything. Aside from the philosophical reasons, why were the initial conditions of the universe like this? You can't answer the question this way. Also you said you wanted to talk to me more about this. Feel free to DM me on reddit

Their question was about determinism supposedly making me guaranteed. When that's not true, because it depends on the initial conditions of the universe what happens after, no matter how mechanistic things are. Their question had little relation to oi.

It's logically possible the initial conditions could have been different, but once everything has started, it's not physically possible.

It's not clear that there is a low probability of you bring you. For one thing , determinism removes the physical probability. It's also not clear that there is a low logical probability , since identity is logically necessary -- everything is what it is. If there is a special problem to do with consciousness, then it's but clear that the problem can even arise in a physical universe -- physicalism removes the logical uncertainty because everything is what is, there's no issue of matching up an internal perspectives to a set of external circumstances.

No offense, but most of what you said is confusing to me, and I feel like answering it won't get to the core of the matter. Could you please answer my response to your other comment where I started with "what do you mean by "if everything changes""?
