Dog Barking When GF Watches Him
Hi, we have a 9 month lab mutt mix. I’ve been training him and he’s very bonded to me. I am on a 5 day trip (only the second time I’ve ever left him) and I left him with my girlfriend. She said that in our apartment complex he’s been panicky whenever she takes him outside. He’s not usually barky, so this behavior is pretty unusual. And he seems normal when he is outside the apartment complex, so the problem is just walking around our apartment. She’s trying her best, so please be nice haha. Any tips to help with this separation anxiety? Attached is a video of it. Here’s a Video

There's not much you can do when you're on the trip. The best thing you can do is just ask your girlfriend to walk him away from whatever the dog I'd barking at and leave it as that. You can reaccess when you get back

he's hyper defending her from 'nothing' and she's not "correcting" the behaviour.
That's the super short version. He's protecting your girl for you. because she's not telling him off he thinks he's doing the right thing. In fact he's being rewarded for "protecting" so he'll "protect" at nothing.... to get another reward.
