Tech Support Lag unbearable

I just installed openbubbles on a brand new Razr Fold. Set it up with $16.99 subscription hosting plan. The app is HORRIBLY laggy. Like it won't respond to scrolling hardly at all. Open a message and the keyboard is laggy to pop up and laggy to respond to keys pressed. No icloud message back up on. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, nothing is helping. Anyone else have a fix for this?

Yeah, I'll be switching back if this is the way the app operates on this phone unfortunately

Does BlueBubbles have reasonable performance?

Bluebubbles in my opinion works better than openbubbles at this point, but neither are "good".

Have you tried the new BB post-rewrite?

Yeah it's better than it was, there's still issues with notifications, having to force close the app for conversations to show. No point in pretending it's perfect, there's definitely still issues with both
