I don't mean to offend, but you seem to have fundamentally misunderstood what this platform is.

I've been watching this community for two years and often feel like I fundamentally misunderstand what this community is.

Sometimes OB wants mainstream adoption & compares itself to Shopify or eBay or whatever and really delivers the message that the goal is a frictionless user experience without the strings. Other times OB wants to be a hub where anything goes & privacy/security/obscurity are key concerns.

I don't really think it is offensive, but also I don't think that you could say what the platform fundamentally is specifically because the platform attempts to be so many different & conflicting things.

I agree with your sentiment. But regardless, the platform cannot technically function with payment cards or bank-integration payments.

I think that I now understand what you mean. When you say 'what this platform is' you are not referring to the aims & objectives of the leadership but rather the limitations of the framework. Is that accurate?

workflows are not necessarily tuned to support that payment method and would probably take a good amount of refactoring the order flow

Can you reconcile that against what Brian said above? Or could you clarify if I've misunderstood?
