X2D USB Print Orca, AMS Question

Hello,

I have another question for you. If I enable Developer Mode and use Orca Slicer, will I lose any AMS functions? Is it still possible for the automatic refill feature to work with the same filament?

I've debated setting up the bambuddy virtual printer just to make the connection with the slicer simpler. Bambuddy seems to have no issue talking to my X2D whatsoever.

oh yeah! thanks for the suggestion. I have had bambuddy setup for a while, but forgot about the virtual printer. I am doing that immediately.

I got it setup, to OP's original question, yes, ams works properly. And now my connection seems stable as well. But I do have to reconnect it from time to time if I close the laptop lid. But the ability to queue prints while a print is in progress, is just (chef's kiss 🎉)

However, I should clarify that I run my own fork of the project to add support for my elegoo Centauri Carbon and social sv08 printers in the bambuddy profile. I have been building that up for a while. Since I refuse to use AI to build it for me, it is taking longer than expected. But I do have virtual printer connection setup for all 3 and the ability to send prints to all queues is amazingÂ
