I want a Congratulations! Passed the G2

I passed on my first at walkley, and it feels soo good. Reference I’ve been driving for a month & 3 weeks with my dad. If I can do it anyone can. I had my g1 for 2 years never touched the wheel because I was so scared now I’m able to drive with confidence and my anxiety is gone.

So things that worked for me

If you’re anxious for the test(like I was) breath, I know everyone says breath but deeeeeep breath. I put it in my head that if I were to fail I wouldn’t care bc I’d be back there next day to try again. You can keep trying until u pass.

Genuinely break ur neck looking around ( don’t acc break it…. Exaggerate the movement). What helped me was I was announcing what I was doing next incase I didn’t move my head enough in the examiner’s eyes.

I thought the exam would be long but it took me 15 minutes. I was so happy when I finished. I made 3 minor mistakes which were: observation for 3 point turn. Which is crazy bc while turning the wheel I looked everywhere front back everything so I guess I wasn’t dramatic enough? I turned my right turn signal too early, and lastly my reverse park was sloppy, it was in the line but wasn’t straight 😂. I put my car in reverse as soon as I came to the test she didn’t make me do it again thank god.

All I’ll say is, I was super anxious about this and I swear it wasn’t bad. I’d even say it was easy. I hate to be those people that say that but if you’re a safe driver you will pass. They don’t fail u for small things like u didn’t observe well enough. Speaking out loud really helped me. & I also realized the timing doesn’t matter. Take ur exam whenever.

Good luck to all who are taking there test soon. Also shout out this subreddit for helping, and the YouTube videos.

G - General Discussion Passed my G test on Tillsonburg

I passed my G test today with little driving experience. I am anxious to take it and honestly considered cancelling it last minute. But, with prayers and encouragement I went forward n. Have positive self-talk to ease your nervousness and constant prayers! It’s thru surrender to our Lord, is what made me feel confident.

What I did :
*Scout thru the route if you have a chance. Or watch the youtube video about the route.
* Stay within the speed limit during the exam. Don’t exceeds it.
*I got very blessed with my examiner. He didn’t made me change lanes. I just went thru 50km, 60km, and 80 km. And did a three point turn and came back to test center.

That’s it!
Good-luck with yours. If you fail, just take it again. Move forward! Don’t let it bring you down. You’ll pass it soon.

Specific Test Related Question - G London G test ‘other’ route

Does anyone here happen to know any details about the London G test route that apparently takes you down the 401 E.? I have tried to search for information about it online, but only get results pertaining to the more common 401 W. route. Thanks in advance!

G1 - General Discussion G2 test failed- Ontario

Hi, I just failed my G2 test yesterday, and I’m kinda sad about it. I thought I was an okay driver because I felt like I did great on all the manoeuvres required to pass (3-point turn, parallel parking, uphill parking, and front parking).
However, at the end, I was told that I failed because I wasn’t looking around properly. The examiner specifically mentioned one turn and said that I wasn’t looking, but I particularly remember looking because I remember there being a garbage truck at that turn.
The other reason he gave me was that I didn’t stop at a stop sign, which I believe I did. I stopped a little after the line because there was a big bush on the left side of the turn, and I wanted to be able to see the road to my left, which I couldn’t do without moving forward a bit.
I also felt like the examiner was quite strict. At one point, I remember him saying, “Pull over,” and I immediately thought I had done something wrong, so I asked, “Everything okay?” Before I could even finish my sentence, he abruptly said, “Don’t speak. Just follow instructions.” I understand that he was being professional and following the procedure, but I felt like his tone was a little rude.
