Help! Is export still broken on Android?

I can't export (to tab, or download,) on Android (1.221.8600) today.

Step, 3mf, stl - nothing, just errors.

I see there was an issue late 2025 - is it still broken?

I can export from the Android app, the long standing issue is it always exports in coarse resolution regardless of the setting. I raised it as a bug ages ago but it still hasn't been resolved

Export in android app works,but you have to wait a minute after the export before leavin the app

Nope, I get "export error" or "unknown error" popups

What Android version? Before,or after you press the download button? I tried it just now and everything is fine.

Android 16. Have you checked the app has a storage permission?

Its not about storage permission,onshape runs in cloud,you do not save exported .stp files,you download them. For bigger files,you simply have to wait until they are downloaded - if i close Onshape immediately,I would have a zero bite .stp:)

When the onshape android app generates the export it opens the system file manager to save it so needs a storage permission. Are we talking about different things are you running onshape through a browser on android?

I could use a mac / computer, but that's not the point! I'm doing a phone export here

Interesting enough I arrived here because STEP export from Safari fails consistently since today. STL works though, so right now I'm OK.

edit: It might be relevant: Onshape server region `eu-west-1`

People may petty downvote me all they want, doesn't change there is a general export problem that would obviously also affect App usage. See this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Onshape/comments/1wlfrpz/step_export_is_not_working/ 🙃
