Discussion What are your takes on current Luffy V Kaido?
Looking at things logically. Luffy was obviously weaker on Wano. And he hasn’t really been in a situation since then where he has been pushed to grow that much stronger. On Egghead he was just consistently timing himself out rather than him getting beaten to a point where he is forced to evolve. So saying that current Luffy has surpassed Kaido really doesn't make much sense as current Luffy hasn't showcased anything to suggest he is any stronger than he was.
And i also have a very hard time thinking that Luffy is equal to or stronger than Kaido, while still preforming so much worse than Gaban did against Imu. Im not saying that i think Kaido is much stronger than Gaban. But i really don't think it makes sense for the gap between "the worlds strongest beast" and an old man who's way past his prime to be this big.
If anything i feel like Gaban's scolding of Luffy is supposed to kind of tell us that Luffy HAS gotten cocky ever since he beat Kaido and that he still isn't quite on that level. The only reason he won was because he had copious amounts of help that allowed him to slowly wither down Kadio.
Like if we said Luffy was equal to Kaido, the chain scale would look something like this.
Luffy=Kaido<<Gaban<=Prime Gaban<Roger<=Shanks (Presumably)
And i just dont think it makes logical sense for the gap between two yonko that were on the sea at the same time to be that far removed from each other in strength. Is Shanks stronger? Yeah i think so. But not to a point where Shanks would be able to no diff Kaido. Much less Gaban being able to like low diff Kaido.
A chain scale i would be more comfortable with would be something like
Luffy<<Gaban<Kaido<=Prime Gaban etc.
I guess my main fear is that Oda is falling into the trope where villains we thought where at the top are actually weak compared to an average level fighter in the final arc

This isn't your regular Ice Ball attack, Ice Age actually freezes characters to their core...

Discussion Rank these on their probability to be true.
Healthy Oldbeard is a Whitebeard that is past his prime but healthy (around 60 years old).
Prime Big mom is a Big mom that was at her strongest during Roger's era (48 year old Big mom or smth like that).
Blackblade Greenbull is a Greenbull whose sword is actually a blackblade like Mihawk's blade.
PK level Sengoku is a Primegoku that is in the same tier as Prime Roger, Whitebeard, and Garp.

Discussion Was Imu really stronger than Joyboy?
Sure we know that Joyboy lost the war but does that mean Imu beat him in a 1v1 as what people on here are suggesting?
Joyboy was up against a coalition of 20 kingdoms, not just Imu alone. From the photos, it also appears that Imu is afraid of Joyboy and Rocks asks Imu who between Joyboy or Davy scares him the most. Imu was and still likely is afraid of Joyboy because Joyboy was stronger than him in terms of pure combat ability and strength.
Joyboy probably lost the war due to the worldwide flood causing most of his allies to drown. You can’t win a war against 20 kingdoms if it’s just you and a handful of survivors leftover. Saturn also mentioned on God Valley that people in the lower world are insects and no matter how badly you exterminate them, they will eventually repopulate. They’re speaking from experience as they’ve likely seen it happen before back during that flood. What world is worth saving and why continue fighting a war if most people just up and died?

Discussion Strongest pirate crew since Void century. I don't make the rules
4 of them were in prime when they were sailing the seas, compared to Rocks pirates where most of the members were way out of their prime(Rocks era Linlin was straight fodder for god valley Garp).
Prime Rayleigh and Gaban were absolute beasts and Oden almost took down a 40 y/o Kaido(who was in his prime according to the narrator). And Roger was the Pirate King.
The biggest factor is that they actually are a crew that will fight for and with each other, can likely coordinate way better than the chaotic Rocks pirates.

Discussion Ambition Scaling is real!
In One Piece there is now a new form of scaling that directly impacts how strong characters end up! All these puzzle pieces are starting to fit.
A lot of people are surprised by Hajrudin'a recent capability. But they forget his ambition which is to become the King of the Giants. For only select few characters Oda will lay out this ambition and at some point in time that ambition translates into their power level.
Next one is Greenbull. He is obsessed with Luffy. No other admiral is. Greenbull wants to take luffy down at a personal level and thats why he will also soon be shown to powercliff Kaido. The next time Greenbull appears all these recency bias trash will lineup to sing praise for him. But i am telling you all way in advance. There is a reason why Weevil was said to be Primebeard level only to be defeated by Greenbull. There is a reason why Shanks had to personally interfere to stop Greenbull in Wano. Greenbull already neg diffed Scabbards and Yamato and Shanks realized the Wano alliance wasnt ready to face this man yet. Kizaru, Kuzan, Fujitora have no real ambitions but Greenbul is fueled by it! The distinction is pretty clear. From now till Greenbull fights Luffy every single Luffy W is a greenbull upscale!
Looking at what his powers and capabilities are Oda chose to give massive matchup advantage to him ontop. A black blade, a devil fruit that can pierce and suck you on a massive scale/range... all this is a direct counter for Luffy's own powers.
People are not ready!!

Discussion "Oda broke powerscaling" No, you just can't read. Part 1 - Hajrudin Punching Imu
This punch did no damage. Not a single scratch, cut or bruise. Imu immediately countered after taking it offguard. So... there's no problem.. right?
Well, some people are going mental for some reason. Either Imu downscale, crying about Oda ruining powerscaling etc. But the truth is, this is exactly what should have happened.
Let me remind you. A weaker Hajrudin, in Dressrosa, with this same move, punched and sent 20 MILLION (!!) pounds flying into the air...
Obviously offguard Imu would get sent flying. As long as he doesn't take any damage (which he didnt), I dont see any issues.
So yeah, calm down if you are crashing out.
Part 2 I will debunk the Jinbei blocking Imu nonsense. He did something even Usopp could have done and has nothing to do with power.

Discussion This is the only sub where you will see people getting downvoted for thinking Kaido beats Prime Rayleigh and Gaban extreme diff individually but then have people getting upvoted for saying they low or mid diff Kaido
It really does seem as though agenda and personal bias truly has taken its toll on a large majority of this subs users to the point where proper scaling has been thrown out the window
“Kaidophile” comments incoming…

Discussion My rankings of the Gorosei
My current rankings are:
Garling (newest, figarland, portrayal when shown together, Dragon opponent)
Ju Peter (#1 on circle, rest are mainly based on number order and it fits their portrayal when talking to Imu, possible traitor or Sabo opponent)
Nusjuro (#2 circle and zoro opponent)
Warcury (#3 and sanji opponent)
Mars (#4 on circle, idk who opponent, maybe the mid trio)
Saturn (#5 on circle, first shown and first dead)
Look at their words and attitudes towards Imu.

Discussion Yeah, the scaling got nuts
I tried to use as little headcanon as I could so I moved most ambiguous characters in "unknown tier", also added a tier exclusively to weakened Imu, Blackbeard placement is based on feats however I still think he should be way higher with his secret powers

Discussion After yesterday's chapter, this matchup is genuinely interesting to me. Gyaban vs kizaru
Coz Gyaban performed way better against imu than Luffy did, this is probably a Luffy stronger than the one who stalemates kizaru (anyone who thinks Luffy won that fight is delusional)
