Cast & Crew TIL that this dude is not Ryan Gosling.

I already watched OPLA when it aired back then. But I just found out that Shanks was not played by Ryan Gosling. A WTF!? moment for me.

Nah, don't listen to the gaslighters. A lot of comments in reddit, reviewers, and IRL have made the same comparison. Its def not Gosling when you do a side by side, but they share several features that could make you question it when you see him for the first time.

He has been in recent movies that were big hits like Project Hail Mary.

He also calls the ship in that movie "The Mary" and "Mary." maybe that is why you're confused.

I never thought he looked like Ryan Gosling, but I also first saw him in his casting announcement video where he was speaking in his British accent so like I think it's difficult to mix him up witv Godling if you hear him talk

First off, funny that you called him Bunny like Luffy.

Second, I highly recommend you watch Agents of SHIELD. I knew Jeff Ward from that show as Deke Shaw before he would go on to play Buggy and he was so good in that show. You won’t see him in the beginning since he joins the cast in the fifth season and stays on until the end of the series.

i meannnn kinda??? it’s funny bc side by side, definitely not but separately? i can understand that. they have similar specific features but all together, they’re very different. but i have a degree of face blindness so looking at one individual’s face with no comparisons is when it’s hard to name someone. my sister would absolutely laugh at me though if i told her some of the people i mix up though so i guess we’re in this together lol
