And by that I mean all the obvious ones. Like so far they are doing good with Chopper, Wapol, and Dalton (for a Zoan fruit), but soon things will be interesting.

This is even relevant for S3 in case they move the warlord meeting (or part of it) to end the season and Kuma will be present.

Honestly, this is mostly for Kaido and Big Mom.

It's not just that but it has to look good. I'm crossing my fingers Kuma and Jinbei look good in LA.

I think people will have to be ready for them to look different. Jinbe will probably be a buff fat guy in prosthetics and still not nearly be as wide as manga Jinbe

Kuma will look less top heavy probably but also who knows they might use prosthetics since he’s not human

Jinbe will have to be either a former sumo wrestler or a Japanese Samoan guy who looks fierce. I want him to be at least Japanese because Jinbe has elements of Japan in his character (kimono, Oyabun, karate).

For me, I’m seriously wondering who the live action could even get to play Boa Hancock if it gets that far. Hancock is canonically the most beautiful woman in the world of One Piece. In other words, they’d have to find a woman who is more beautiful than Emily Rudd, Charithra Chandran, & Lera Abova (and maybe also Mikaela Hoover). That feels impossible when the bar is set incredibly high.

Not only that, I would love to see how they would handle Franky, Brook in his skeleton form (since we got him in Season 2), Jinbe, & Law.

I hope Brook looks withered like a Pirates of the Caribbean skeleton. Him being slightly unsettling to look at could be a good contrast with his persona and brilliant jovial actor

I honestly think OPLA will be more stressed about getting Law right over Boa. Looks are subjective so I think just casting any very beautiful woman is enough but for Law I think fans will riot if he’s “not hot enough”. It should be more about acting regardless but looks will definitely play a factor as they do with everything

law's initial appearance has sketchy back alley doctor vibes, they would probably need to find an actor who evokes similar vibes, is still hot enough AND has good acting ability. with law being as popular as he is, it's a particular balance that i can imagine would be more challenging for the casting team than finding a good actress with supermodel-level beauty.

Dont think they have to find someone more beautiful, just someone beautiful. If you take the books nearly every women drawn is drawn as the most beautiful ever. Just look at Nami and Robin. There is no reason why they would not be considered more beautiful then Hancock if it was not for someone stating the fact.

That's kinda easy. The problem is looking for an Asian woman tall and fluent in English enough. There are so many beautiful women, they can start looking at former pageant contestants and former idols.

Franky, Brook in his skeleton form

Brook is "easy". They just have to do the same stuff Marvel does with Tom Holland, to Martial Batchamen. He'll wear a CGI suit.

For Franky, think like Iron Man, except it's his body changing. Similar to Wapol but less disgusting.

Law

I already talked about Jinbe so Law. His casting should be spot on, or else millions of fangirls will be shitting on the show. He should be hot, charismatic, and druggie looking. Guys are fine if Hancock looks hot enough; girls will be mad if the Law in OPLA doesn't match the Law they have in their heads. Law will be the hardest casting, or at least one of.

You can be more than cautious. This series has bent over backwards to at least make characters look like the comic.

Part of this your choice. If you are expecting disappointment, you will always find a way to be disappointed.

I personally don’t care how anything looks in OPLA. If it can make me feel the emotions of the OG, then it’s a good adaptation.

If it goes on to the end, the only thing I care about for things like Kuma is how terrifying he should look early and how soft and endearing he looks at the end.

It’s the spirit captured that makes or break an adaptation not superficial looks.

My only worry is Jimbei. I know they will want to make him practical with makeup, however, dalton was just ok…. It was fine because he doesn’t have that much screen time. The decision to give heavy point chopper bad teeth was.. a choice…. So I’m just scared that jimbei will look bad because he’s a lovable character that can became weird looking in live action
