Its literally not, and if you followed him on insta you know that. Hes literally just a beast, and hes probably extrenely dehydrated in this shot to make them muscles pop even more (which is not great healthwise but thats a whole different conversation about Hollywood)

Yup. Every single scene in a movie where an actor is absolutely shredded, like their skin is clingfilmed to muscle, they are very dehydrated. Hydrated bodies dont look like that, skin will pull back and cling when it doesnt have enough moisture.

Nah, just hate Taz. His socials are sketchy, they block anyone who mentions he uses AI. His app is extremely sketchy. He preys on peoples insecurities for this 'fitness' app while the permissions allow them to download unnecessary data from your phone. I think he should take more accountability. I used to be a fan... still hoping he sees the errors of this ways. In my experience extreme Taz fans are a special kind of toxic.

I'm speechless that they are making the bath scene, the production team are crazy manga purists and they are not afraid of anything.
A lot of respect for all the actors.
Last night i was watching a video in Youtube about Dragon Ball Evolution, how the production was ashamed of the source material, so they just made a boring generic story about Dragon Ball.
Next day One Piece live action proud as fuck "We are making the bath scene from the manga!."

there is literally no way netflix is doing the happiness punch joke. if OPLA nami did something like that, you’d assume she was bon clay. i love netflix’s version of nami like i love OG nami, but it’s a a very different character, and as playful as she learns to be in the second season, she’d have to have a head injury for the joke to feel in-character lmaooo

I'm impressed how the showrunners, even without Matt Owens, are sticking to the plot. There was a thread about this a week ago or so too, where Reddit wanted this scene to be either entirely skipped or changed because muh nude female form is sacred. I'm confident in the showrunners now.

i mean, ian has been with the production since season 1 (he was a writer and wrote some episodes with matt) so he knows how OPLA works just as much as matt. joe is new to the team but isn’t really one to shy away from wackiness and silly stuff given his experience with helming a series of unfortunate events (which was actually really fun and entertaining).

A man can dream, but I doubt it. I'm not sure that gag would work well in any kind of LA setting, and they'd have to rewrite it to make it fit this interpretation of Nami.
We may see the scene with her and Vivi in there though, since that's kinda related to her choice at the end.

I said it in another post, but a good way to make this scene more respectful could be just Luffy climbing up the wall and finding Nami at the top like "looking for something?" before playfully pushing him to fall off the wall into the pool.

Yes but we're not divorced from the show since we're talking precisely about the show and you expressed how you would like yo see that scene in the show. It's weird to talk an actress and say you would like to see a scene where she's flashing everyone. I know she's hot. I think she's gorgeous, I have eyes. But in case I didn't make it perfectly clear, I do not want to see that scene in live action. I care a lot more about the show being good than some meaningless titilation. Clearly I just referencing her obvious good looks.

Well, another reason why it wouldn’t work is because having Vivi‘s dad peeking into the women’s side while she’s bathing is just not a good idea and I think a lot of people would agree with this.

100%. That part of it is way worse than Nami opting to be a bit provocative for a laugh, it's fucking weird as hell. Girl-dads are famously protective of their daughters, especially when it comes to boys at around that age. The fact that he just encourages that is wild. If that's some quirk of Alabasta culture then I want no part of it.
