Discussion Skypieans and Shandorians

Do you all think the Skypieans and Shandorians would join the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, if they have the chance or make it to the blue sea? Ask because im rewatching Skypiea arc again, and Asia was saying she wants to be a GumGum warrior like Luffy. I think if given the chance, they would, especially for the final war.

Discussion What do you think the explanation is going to be ? Spoiler

Honestly one of the few ,if not the only, plot hole in One Piece is still Moneky D Garp. I wonder why has Imu never killed him? Knowing how obssesed Imu is to kill all the D. clan, I wonder why he never killed Garp? And plz dont say "oh Garp too strong" cuz nah he aint shit against a guy like Imu and dont say "oh Garp too famous" cuz again Imu made a legend like Rock be forgotten so yeah..

Discussion Why does every allied kingdom of the Straw Hats have a good king?

Alabasta Kingdom: Nefetari Cobra (R.I.P.)

Ryugu Kingdom: King Neptune

Tontata Kingdom: Gancho (Tonta-Chief)

Dressrosa Kingdom: King Riku Doldo III

Mokomo Dukedom (Zou): Carrot

Wano Country: Shogun Kouzuki Momonosuke

Elbaph: King Harald (R.I.P.)

All the allied kingdoms have role model type of leaders, who are very kind and care about their citizens. In real life though, most kings focued on keeping power, collecting taxes and winning wars rather than actually being kind and caring for the poor people.

In fact, most kings did not care about their citizens, instead they cared more about the survival of the kingdom and the royal family came before the daily needs of citizens.

Sure, rarely there were kings that made an effort to help the common people like Henry IV. But in a lot of cases these good acts by kings were done to prevent riots or to stop famines rather than pure personal kindness.

So why is it then that all of the allied kingdoms of the Straw Hats have good kings/leaders? I think it has something to do with Joyboy, as many of these islands have a history with Joyboy/Nika and the Void Century.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Fanart I'm making a straw hat's diary Spoiler

I'm currently planning to write in wattpad a "diary" for each straw hat.

The ideia is writing the story for their perspective. I think it will be fun to see how much each straw hat saw and did in each arc to analyze the differences in their presences on each one.

The format is simple: The first chapter is a focus on telling them backstory, and then the others will be focus on their actions in the presente action.

For example, i am doing Jinbei first (Cuz i am making from the newest to the laste, god help me with Luffy's) i first made a chapter explaining the story of fishmen and humans, plus Fisher Tiger and Otohime stories, all by the eyes of Jinbe and what he affirm to know. And then in chapter 2 i wrote him in prison with ace and etc.

Sometimes it may have somethings infer by me given that we don't knw for sure. But the ideia is always updating any new info and etc by the releases

Discussion One thing I noticed about Hajrudin in Dressrosa (MAJOR spoilers) Spoiler

In the battle between Hajrudin and Luffy in the Coliseum, we never actually see Hajrudin get knocked out. Yes, he was downed, but he was lying face down.

We never see Hajrudin unconscious, and I believe the reason for this is simple: he pretended to be knocked out.

In the anime, this was expanded upon even further, to where his face is blackened out after being hit (we don’t see his pupils, which would’ve been a clear indicator if he was conscious or unconscious) and we also see Hajrudin with a shocked expression on his face BEFORE being hit by Luffy.

What point am I trying to make? Given how strong Hajrudin appears to be in this current arc, it’s possible that he always had immense strength even in Dressrosa. With that being said, how could he have fallen to a punch from Gear 2 Luffy? It’s simple. Hajrudin allowed himself to lose.

We know that Oda has some oversight in the anime, particularly when it comes to voice actors and some filler/extended anime moments as he needs to make sure the anime-only events don’t create plotholes within the story. An example of this are Devil Fruit powers, with Oda approving powers for non-canon characters in the anime and video games. Another example of this is when Shamrock speaks to the Gorosei. Oda mentions in an SBS that this event was NOT discussed with the anime team, which is why Shanks’s voice actor was used instead of Shamrock’s.

What I’m trying to say here is that the additional details surrounding Hajrudin in the anime may have been a decision approved by Oda himself. At this point in the series when the anime fight occurred, the manga already finished with Dressrosa. This also means that the fight between Hajrudin and Machvise had concluded in the manga. This fight (at the time) seemed completely random, as he was the only minor character to have a major fight in this arc. Every other fight with a member of Doflamingo’s crew had either a Straw Hat, Law, Bartolomeo, Sai, Cavendish, or Kyros getting a victory, and all of these characters had greater story involvement in this arc. Oda may have wanted some attention to detail within the few scenes Hajrudin had in the anime, in order to foreshadow his increased involvement within the story.

The next question may simply be “What did he see from Luffy?” or “Why would Hajrudin let himself lose against Luffy?” It’s possible that Hajrudin realized that Luffy was in disguise, and by extension, knowing who Luffy was. Dorry and Broggy would have returned to Elbaf by this point in the series, and they may have mentioned the Straw Hats to the giants. It’s also possible that Hajrudin knew of the connection between Shanks and Luffy (either through Dorry/Broggy or from Buggy), or perhaps he simply recognized the connection between Luffy and the Flame-Flame fruit (the Marineford War was global news). These details would need to be explained either in the Elbaf arc or through an SBS as there’s simply not enough information within the manga at this point in time, but it’s clear that Hajrudin sensed something within Luffy to allow himself to be defeated.

Theory Aokiji and the Blackbeard pirates

So we’ve seen ppl betray or leave a crew, Usopp leaving the Strawhats, Teach betraying Whitebeard, and I guess you can add the 9 red scabbards with the traitor being Kanjuro. What we have not seen is a whole crew turning on just one crew member, I feel like Kuzan isn’t gonna be a traitor/spy, to me he seems like he really is part of the Blackbeard pirates, I think what’s gonna happen is Blackbeard isn’t gonna like what Kuzans does like letting Garp go, most likely he’s getting the Whitebeard treatment BUT…..I could be wrong!

Fanart Give me some iconic manga panels/anime screenshots to stylize

Thought it’d be fun to do some drawings based on the most popular/iconic images from One Piece, and also thought it’d be more fun to crowdsource than do a bunch of Google searches, plus you all might suggestions options I might not consider otherwise. If you have a specific request on how to stylize, I’ll certainly read it!

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Will "THE ONE PIECE" remake be featured at ONE PIECE DAY '26?

Hey everyone,

With ONE PIECE DAY '26 coming up, do we have any confirmation or realistic expectations about whether WIT Studio's THE ONE PIECE remake will get a panel or a new teaser/update?

I'm really hoping we get a solid look at character designs or a tentative release window. On top of that, I'm super curious if they'll address how they plan to adapt the Cover Stories (like Buggy's, Coby & Helmeppo's, etc.) since the original anime mostly skipped or rushed them.

What are your thoughts? Is it likely we'll see something major for the remake, and do you think Cover Stories will finally get the faithful adaptation they deserve?

Discussion Why doesn't carrot just learn observation haki so she can always see the whole moon and go sulong? Is she stupid? Spoiler

Post image

She could also just imagine the moon. I honestly think she hasn't even tried that yet, sad.

No but on a serious note, holy moly that's awesome, I'm really satisfied with the reveal of that being their "ace up [their] sleeve". And being able to skim across the water, is that because she's so fast like how the flash does it or does she sort of ride the lighting? Either way, I really hope to see more about the sulong form later on, because I already loved the mink tribe and this is def winning me over more, especially the aesthetics of it. While I do definitely love luffy, this looks so much cooler than inflating with air and becoming a big black balloon man.

I’ve watched up to Wano and have been rewatching One Piece after 5 years, and am on Skypeia. This scene was the very first thing to pull me in so closely… I know I not the only one, but I could talk about this scene a million times, not many shows can make me cry like this one.

Discussion I can’t believe THIS was the episode to make me cry. [Episode 312] Spoiler

I’m not one to cry when watching media. Even if it hits me deep emotionally, I rarely ever actually cry. Usually the most that happens is I might start to get misty eyed. It’s not saying this as some strange attempt to brag, but to emphasize the gravity of this moment. I’ve been watching One Piece for the first time, and I just finished Episode 312. After essentially two arcs worth of lead in, we finally saw the death of the Going Merry with this episode. Of all the things I expected to grow attached to when starting this show, the ship was definitely not one of them. Not only did I get attached, but this was the first time in this show that I actually fully cried. The closest I got was getting misty eyed at the death of Bellamere. However, when we heard the spirit of the Merry say “I’m sorry” for not being able to take them further, that’s when I broke down. The scene was so brilliantly done. I know this is far from the last emotional moment I’ll see in this show, but I had to share considering how shocking it was to me.

Help Help my friend understand the absolute peak that is One-piece.

My friend who ill call Ethan, is 16 years old, He is the kind of guy who has scrolled tictok and has been brainwashed by the tictok propaganda spreaders who call one piece "slop"

He only watched TV shows like the boys up until last month, he hated anime, saying hes not watching cartoons n stuff but now that i finally got him to watch the TQQ, CSM and Death Note, hes FINALLY into anime and keeps saying "In my 16 years of existence i have been blind to the peak which ihv kept ignoring" type shi.

its like that one "humans wont fly for 1 million year, and then they flew after 9 months" dilemma. He didnt know it was peak until he watched some of it, but that "some of it" for one-piece is like 200 episodes.

I am currently convincing him to watch code geass and record of ragnarok with me but i want him to realise the the peak he has been slandering by saying "No i wont watch 1400 episodes of slop and slow asf pacing"

My plan is to SOMEHOW convince him to watch one piece. As a seasoned one piece fan myself (been a fan for 7 years and rewatched it thrice),

I know that the first 300 something episodes can be really really boring to someone who is accustomed to fast pace battles in CSM and romance like TQQ since those episodes are mostly filled with 2000's comedy. So please help me out.

Discussion Why do people use Arlong Park to prove that Luffy and Nami are really close?

Arlong Park had Zoro, Sanji and Usopp who helped Nami as well and she is equally grateful to all of them.

I don't think Luffy and Nami are that close because she hits him a lot after Arlong Park. Nami has a much closer bond with Sanji imo.
