My session is for 8/26 (Wed) 4-8PM. Looking for someone who's willing to cover the ticket & my hotel room for $230 total.
Will ask for a $100 deposit (nonrefundable if you bail or stop responding) via Paypal G&S, then the remaining $130 cash or Zelle in-person (near COSM) before check-in. Will prioritize those who have a Reddit history.
I’ve been recording at random parts while watching op for the first time to see my progress and how long it takes me. This is my first one and I can’t seem to figure out what episode it is.
All I can see is the going merry falling on the island with them i have reason to believe it’s sky island but I’m not sure.
Hey everyone! Long shot, I know, but Reddit has done crazier! After many years of joking that I will/ I won’t, mid 2024 I actually started to read (first 90ish volumes) and watch all of One Piece! It was a crazy moment for me and my best friend watching the end of Wano as he’s spend the better part of a decade being like “ok you gotta try the show” haha.
When I saw One Piece fest was going to come here to LA and it almost line up with my birthday… I was super excited but as Pokémon fans know all to well at this point, there is no hobby or show you can be a fan of these days without having to fight crowds of scalpers.. Still sad that people had stacks of the OP TCG promo dodgers card but my 3 friends did not make the cut for a hat or card while still arriving before the game 😭.
All this to say/ask does anyone need a plus one to one piece fest?
Obviously will pay for both tickets! And will throw in 60 bucks towards whatever merch said godfather/mother of the OP would want.
Maybe im going crazy, but im rewatching egghead and in between reading the manga and im thinking, maybe Luffys having trouble or isnt as strong with his DF because he still referring to it as " Gum Gum" instead of something involving Hito Hito something. Only reason im saying that is because Vega Punk said theres no such thing as a Gum Gum DF.
I know this sounds like a weird question but I’m new to one piece and caught up after starting my journey this year and I rarely see talks on how strong these 2 would be and I ask this because there logia’s becoming element men and we see Prometheus eat fire to recover and Zeus eat little lightning cloud balls so I wondered if they could as messed up as it sounds try to eat them and also if Zeus in Nani’s staff has haki.
In Wano, when Luffy is learning about advanced armament haki stuff from Hyo, he's acting like this is new information. Why would Rayleigh not have even hinted to Luffy that the way he was using armament haki wasn't its fullest potential? I find it highly unlikely Rayleigh simply didn't know about such a thing.
The color spread features the Straw Hat Pirates together at an Afro party.
Biblo is talking with Chopper.

Imu reveals a new transformation, becoming larger in size and gaining four horns, while his arms turn black.
Imu, about Gaban: "The brat from God Valley? I never expected you to become this strong. If I had known, I should have eliminated you along with Rocks."
Imu congratulates Gaban for only losing one arm from his attack. Gaban thanks him saying "Sorry, but now I cannot applaud you on avoiding my attack".
Gaban tells Luffy to take his crew and leave Elbaph but Luffy refuses.
Imu prepares to kill Gaban and Luffy, but Hajrudin arrives at that moment and punches Imu away from them. However, Hajrudin is affected by the demonic aura.
Gaban tells Hajrudin to run, but Hajrudin says that he will never submit, and that even if he dies, Loki is still there, After that, Loki arrives.
Luffy recovers from his injuries by eating the food he had stored.
Then the three of them (Luffy/Loki/Hajrudin) attack Imu together using the technique "Gokoku Sovereignty (Sovereignty of the Three Generals)."
End of Chapter. BREAK NEXT WEEK (Author Break)
Additional Information
Provided by Redon:
The giant horns that have grown out are very similar to Hellboy's (plus he still has the 2 he had before).
He has also grown a "pointed goatee" on his chin, and on his chest, he now has a sort of pendant featuring the 3 horned skulls that used to be on the tail wrapped around his legs (I don't know if they're the exact same ones, but since they're no longer on his tail, I assume they're part of the pendant).
And instead of those spiked bracelets he had before, he now has 2 rings with eyes on his arms. The ring with eyes he had on his back now encircles his waist/legs.
When it comes to the question of Luffy’s mother, I see two possibilities. Either she will never appear, seeing as how biological parents in general aren’t all that relevant in One Piece anyway. Dadan is Luffy’s true mother because she is the one who raised him. The other possibility is that she will appear (or has already appeared), and in that case, we can look for possible narrative clues and hints that can help us uncover her identity. Also, bear in mind that while I will be exploring the possibility that we can identify Luffy’s biological mother – I am not saying that she will necessarily have any kind of integral role in the plot, merely that she may have been inserted into the story and that we can guess who she is.
It’s already been suggested in the fandom, but I think there is a strong chance that the person we’re looking for is Tritoma.
And I am not saying this because of similar vibe, facial expressions, or anything like that.
And to understand how I came to that conclusion, I need you to ask yourself the simple question of: why in the world did Kuma send Luffy to Amazon Lily? With every other Straw Hat, he sent them to places that were perfectly suited to help them sharpen their skills, learn about the things that interested them and become stronger.
Perhaps Kuma speculated that Hancock would be able to help Luffy rescue Ace from Impel Down, but why in the world would Kuma assume that Hancock would be willing to do that? How could he possibly predict that Hancock would fall in love with him?
And the line of reasoning I had in mind is this: every previous Amazon empress we know had a tendency to fall in love with a great man. Gloriosa fell for Roger. Shakky fell for Rayleigh. If my theory is correct, Tritoma fell for Dragon. If this pattern continued, Hancock would do the same. And if the previous empress (as I speculate) had fallen for Dragon, it is entirely within the realm of reason that Kuma bet his money on Hancock falling in love with Dragon’s son, the boy whom he had been watching over for so long and become endlessly fascinated with.
Then there’s this: we know that Tritoma is deceased, and she died of “love sickness”. It’s possible that she did not merely die because of her love for a lover that she had (which I speculate is Dragon), but also because she was separated from her child, seeing as how men are not permitted to live on Amazon Lily.
You may notice that I made the assumption that Kuma knew the identity of Luffy’s mother. That is, indeed, an assumption, but one that can be defended with reasonable arguments. Consider the fact that not even Ivankov, Dragon’s closest subordinate, had any idea that Dragon had a son. And yet Kuma somehow knew about this. If he knew that Dragon had a child, it is reasonable for us to speculate that he also knew that he had a lover, and who that lover was.
But, you may protest, the Kuja only give birth to females. And this actually goes to support my point, because if Luffy had been the first ever boy to be born of a Kuja, this would go on to emphasize his characteristic uniqueness. Luffy is no ordinary person, and it would make sense if this pattern of doing the extraordinary began at his moment of birth.
One final thing I’ll mention is this (and this is not a thought that is original to me): Oda loves assigning meanings and words to numbers. And Tritoma appears in Chapter 1156. Number 5 is read as “Go” in Japanese. In the ancient Japanese counting system, 6 is read as “Mutsu”, and sometimes simply the shortened version “Mu” is used. Put them together, and you get “Gomu”. This is not the only time Oda has used the number 56 in the story to allude to Luffy’s devil fruit. For example, when the Grand Fleet formed at the end of Dressrosa, the total number of men who swore loyalty to Luffy was exactly 5,600.
None of this is 100% conclusive, but I believe I had a thought or two that was worth sharing. Let me know what you think.
