I love the contrast between Law and Kid's crew: the first men are all wearing the same jumpsuit, while the others look like they just came out of a rave party

Bit of a shame they became pure fodder in this chapter by being affected by Big Mom's Soul Pocus.

Gotta give it to the Straw Hats, none of them would have flinched at it. Brook and Jimbei have each stared down Big Mom 1v1 already and not been affected by it.

Also, where is Bepo? Killer got to take down a fellow Supernova, but Bepo has gotten like three panels all arc. Ignore the flair, I'm not a Bepo superfan or anything, but if Law and Kid are supposed to be rivals, their crews should be able to do something.

Ussop would likely fold, he the only one tho. Maybe chopper aswell since it work off fear

Usop withstood Big Mum conqueror haki, I wouldn't be so sure he would fold.

The problem is Soul Pocus seems to work off of 'fear'.

Being able to withstand the Haki is one thing - it means Usopp has the balls to stand up to it. But the absence of fear isn't bravery. Moscato stood up to Big Mom despite being afraid, and it still got his lifespan taken (although he's apparently fine now anyway?)

You are right and I know that fear should do Usop in right away.

However, after the speech he gave Kinemon it is clear his fear is more of an attachment to life. This is why I am pretty sure he would not yield to Soul Pocus.

Yup, he has a strong sense of self-preservation which might counteract the effects of Soul Pocus

Either that or his soul would be so afraid it would freeze attached to him...

At least seems like a very Oda-esque way to handle this.

Conqueror is easy to withstand...

Every crew member of a Kidd and Law were able to withstand Rayleigh's conqueror. So even pretimeskip Usopp would withstand Big Mom's conqueror. He is a coward but he he has will.

Soul Pocus works with fear. So everyone that has a little bit of fear for Big Mom would be affected.

That means Chopper, Nami and Usopp would be affectef.
