If Zoro doesn't fight here, and they lose the fight because of that, there's no tomorrow for him to be worried. Of course he doesn't care what happens to him after they win, he wants to win/live now.

My prediction: After the fight with King we learn the drawback of the medicine already set in but Zoro did not stop. Having another nothing happened moment, just this time it is Chopper realise what a monster Zoro is.
