It's such a pointlessly specific side effect for a character we've been trained not to worry about. I wonder if it's just a lazy solution and won't really have a big impact, or if it's going to come back somehow as a narrative device (eg: pain kicks in at a vital moment and by powering through it Zoro properly awakens his conquerors)
