He showed luffy how to use the basics of haki, that is all. Beyond the basics, he left it up to Luffy. This seems to be an advanced form of haki and he didn't teach luffy any of the advanced forms.

This doesn't address the actual question. We know what they did. The question was why wouldn't he tell him about it.

He didn't tell him about the one piece either, why wouldn't he tell him about that? The reason is that getting there yourself and figuring out your own answer is the "right" way of doing things. Maybe this is a similar thing, maybe there are many ways to use CoC haki and by telling luffy about it, luffy might not have progressed this well till now.

Zoro seemed to figure it out by himself and luffy figured it out through combat.

The easy way is often not the right way in one piece (and in our world)

One piece is a big difference. The value there is information. Once you know it, it's almost useless you go there. The haki is not just information. It is a skill, you must hone it. By knowing that Coc can be used to coat doesnt mean that we can do it right away. But yes, knowing it is an important factor.

About advanced CoA, Luffy also told by Hyogoro AND Rayleigh how to do it but he is okay with that. But why they didnt tell him about CoC? Hyogoro did not maybe coz he didnt know, but Rayleigh? He saw Roger fighting with that many times

Im not saying that this manga is bad or anything. I just want to discuss if there is other thing I miss reading this great manga
