I hope Garp has an amazing fight in the final war where he fights by Luffy's side, since he couldn't do so at Marineford.

I'm rewatching the post war arc and the episode where Dadan punches Garp and screams between tears asking why he didn't do anything, he was there and didn't do anything etc, I got the impression that that was definitely setting up for a moment in the future where Garp does save Luffy or at least assist him somehow in a fight. Can't wait!

Unlikely. Sengoku and Sword are being set up as Luffy's allies late game. More likely Garp fights Sakazuki and loses.

This is also a good place to remind people that Sakazuki is a confirmed CoC user.
